In partnership with the Sunday Mail, Scottish Slimmers is once again searching for the country’s most inspirational slimmers in our sensational Slimmer of the Year event – and it could be you!
It's that time again, when Scottish Slimmers and the Sunday Mail get together to search for the brightest slimming stars. Now in its fourth year, the standard of entries for the Slimmer of the Year event just gets better and better each year and choosing the finalists is a tricky business. So, in 2009, we're introducing an exciting new dimension to our annual celebration of success. Just like all the top talent shows, we're introducing a semi-final − and we're calling it our Booty Camp!
 At Booty Camp, which will be held this summer, we'll have the chance to hear even more inspiring stories and give people a real chance to demonstrate just how much Scottish Slimmers has changed their lives. Those selected at Booty Camp will make it through to the glitzy and even more glamorous Slimmer of the Year Final to be held in October. Once again we're looking for several winners. We'd like to meet families who are leading healthier, more active lifestyles and, following last year's inspirational male finalists, we're keener than ever to find more fabulous fellas to give the girls a run for their money! Remember, it’s not just about how many stones or pounds you've lost. We're looking for people whose weight loss has made a significant difference to their lives – maybe a new career, relationship or outlook. We want to hear from people who have become more active or have been involved in life-changing events that they would never have considered trying before losing weight. And, as ever, we have lined up some fabulous prizes including a new wardrobe from Debenhams, with the expert help of a Personal Shopper, and a luxury holiday to magical Malta plus a makeover and photo shoot for Scottish Slimmers' magazine, Boost!.

In partnership with the Scottish Government's Healthier Scotland 'Take Life On' initiative - and as part of the Slimmer of the Year event - Scottish Slimmers is looking for families who are leading a healthier, more active lifestyle inspired by the weight loss campaign of someone in the family. Let's hear it for the boys!Last year's fabulous set of male slimmers really gave the girls a run for their money and we're expecting even more fabulous fellas to enter this year!
