Hi there,

I am just new to this, I am planning on joining my SS class tomorrow lunchtime, a bit nervous as I have been dieting myself for nearly a year now, so far I have managed to lose 3stone but feel I have hit a wall and cant get past it and its really annoying me so I have decided to give the class ago and hope it works for me.

Any advice and stories would be grately apprecaited!

Aly

Hi Aly!

Well done on your loss so far 2thumbs.gif fantastic! Scottish Slimmers is a great organisation, very friendly and on here you'll get loads of support from the other members! we're all in the same boat, so we know exactly how hard it is but also how worthwhile it will be in the long run!

I don't know if you know about the eating plan we follow with Scottish Slimmers, if not its called PEP (Positive Eating Plan) it allocates you "checks" (each check is worth 25 calories) based on your starting weight. You also get every day bonuses and unlimited amounts of veg. It's really straightforward! and you can't really go wrong if your following the plan!

You'll pick up various different hints and tips on here as well as recipes and friendly banter! Join in on one of the challenges in the "Friendly Challenge" bit for a wee bit of extra support. I feel posting on the forum helps keep me on the straight and narrow as i can take inspiration from other fabulous members as well as having a whole different host of people to "answer to" if i go off the rails! haha!

Good Luck with your first class and the rest of your weight loss journey!
Look forward to hearing your fabby weight loss after next weeks WI smile.gif

Well I have just had my first weigh in and I lost 1.5lbs, which I am happy with I know alot of people can lose like 4lbs in first week but I need to remember that I have already lost a good amount so I am slowing down but I definately feel like I have my focus back - long may it continue!!!!!!!!!!

See to get the wee ticker counter thing do you need to be a full member? I am just on as a visitor just now.

Also wee quick question as did a weigh an go today, roughly how many checks do you manage to save a day? I feel like somedays I am saving too much but eating loads too!

Thanks everyone!!! 2thumbs.gif

You should be able to still get a ticker butterfly.gif
SS recommends we don't save any more than 5cx a day xx

If you can afford it - you should sign up for e-support. You'd be able to fully join in with forum chats that way 1983.gif xx

Hi,

I'm new to this side of SS as well, having previously been a dietline member. Sadly, that
option isn't available at the moment so i decided to join on line instead. I lost stone and half with a different company start of last year but prefer SS to anything my problem
being that I live in Devon so have no opportunity to join a group, which is why i liked
dietline, anyway, i'd love to have someone to chat with and compare notes with on the
rest of my 'diet journey' and beyond. I like the Booster plan and am trying that out at
moment. surrender.gif I do need help as we all do, but I am determined to get to my goal, which
sadly is another 3 stone ish. Hope you got on well at group
best wishes

wendy

Welcome Wendy. I used to use the Dietline service as well then life got in the way. Have been back about 7 weeks now and found it easy to slip back into the checks routine.
