totm hasnt started yet and i feel murderous!

a clean champers slate sounds good for me!

I have a bil wedding in august so that is my target

we should all give a target whether it be wee targets or a biggy like mine!!!!

I wish this weather would be a tad milder as the pavements are still like ice rinks!!!!

Hope you all enjoyed Christmas and Santa was good to you all....I can't believe it's nearly 2010!!

Himself was back to work yesterday as he was called in (triple time so can't knock that back!)

I've woken up with really sore sinuses and a headache...I have my next homeopathy appt on Thursday so I'll see what she says then...it's driving me nuts have sinusitis so frequently!

I was planning a gym trip today but think I'll put it off until tomorrow and see if I can shift this headache first.

Next year will be our year ladies for shifting some poundage

Back to work for me too! and not too bad a morning, -5 roads still icy as anything. After saying I wouldn't go on the scales last night...........I did and only 1lb up fae last week was worried uniforms wouldn'na fit!!!!!!

Afternoon Ladies

Had a jaunt into Elgin, OH was driving, still haven't moved my car from driveway just went to get Mum's pension and couple of bits from Tesco, wasn't too busy, think the weather has kept them away, it's been snowing off and on all morning

we did a road trip to Glasgow yesterday, just to Ikea to pick up 3 things, mental! It took us 12 and a half hours!

I like the idea of a new thread but i like this one too, i want to make 2010 the year i get it all figured out, and that includes getting to target!

My throat felt rubbish today so I've been proper lazy. Am just desperate to get back to doing some exercise but it just doesn't seem to be happening!

Apparently it's been snowing - it really needs to stop now!

Bought a new food notebook in Sainsburys earlier so I'm all set for the 1st and being a model pep-per! xx

Think we need to have a re-focus on this thread.We need the banter too,it would be a shame to lose that BUT we can still do that on the new one,but think the format we had before of posting menu's etc might be a good start,with mini targets set so we all have a goal.Any ideas-new thread or just change the name -again!

Hi Di I think its a good idea to have posting menus and goals for those who want to, I'm going to be using the forum as my class next year and plan on being around a lot more It would be good if we had a brand new thread to refocus us all on what we primarily came here for and i'm sure the banter would continue as usual

Carly I think you should def get the engagement ring charm I'm currently wearing Christmas tree, bunny and a high heeled shoe, I think like you three charms is plenty at a time and plan on buying a few more and rotating them

Not that I'm at all technical in any way but would it not be better for the site and help the thread run quicker if we started a new thread on the 1st?

Also, maybe we could have a weekly challenge or something? Or a weekly personal goal? (I'm maybe getting a bit carried away with myself here but you know what I'm getting at!)

What I don't like about the Pandora shop is nothing has a price tag on it (which I'm pretty sure is illegal) so I can't decide if I want things or not. Then I took a brochure home the other day but I've lost it!!

I hate when that happens Ona...it seems to happen when I type a long post!!!

I agree that a new thread for a fresh start is just what we all need to get the job done! I know Iohave been totally faffing about with the pep this year but no more.....

Like Dawn, I'm going to be using the forum as a class as with joining the gym, I couldn't afford to join a class too. My incentives for losing weight are to be heathier, fitter, slimmer and back to the Nicky of "old"...and the main biggie is that I wouldn't want to try for a baby unless I was a much healthier weight (first time I've said that out loud except to himself!) so that is my goal as we don't even know if it will happen but fingers crossed....

We can do this ladies....next year will be our year when we can pop some champagne corks...what do you say?? I'm sure we will keep the banter too as that's what keeps us keep us coming here.

i am so geared up for this fresh start, i am currently brimming with positivity and really ready for the New Year.

I'm planning on using the forum as a class too, just can't afford to otherwise at the moment!

Well, we got the furniture all built and Andrew finally got everything the way he wanted around 12.30 last night! I won't be doing a journey like that again, we are that mad!

Andrew is away off into work for a couple of hours this morning, he's got 4 days over time tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday so i'll have plenty time to study and get used to perfect pepping again!

Carly, i like the idea of a weekly challenge too, just a wee something to keep us all going really!

WOW we are all sounding so positive I love it

Which days are we all planning for weigh in day? since we all seem to be weighing at home do you think we should chose a day we all weigh in on??? Or everyone choose whichever day they want to?

I have been on my scales this morning ( they are new ones I got recently ) guess what they weigh in quarter pounds !!!!

Anyway I think my first weigh in day will be either Friday 1st Jan or the Monday 4th Jan what are you all planning doing?

Looking forward to our bright new shiney post it'll be like having a new notebook or a new weight record card

When is the snow going away it looks really icy out there Kenny said he'll take me to work later tho

It is great to see us all sounding positive and ready to get going

My weigh day will be a Saturday, so my first weigh in will be this Saturday which will be the shocker one but then downwards and onwards!

I'm braving the slippery pavements and catching the bus to the gym this afternoon...first time in over a week I'll have been there but I need to get going on my routine before lots of folks join next week!!

I'm the same as you Carly and avoiding the sales....I'm not planning any trips into town as I'll just buy stuff I'm not really needing hence the visit to the gym instead!

We have sold our Puma and are considering buying a Laguna but our insurance company are being ar*es!! Keith called them earlier but as I'm the registered owner and main policy holder,they wouldn't deal with him even though he paid for the insurance in full last month....so I just called and spoke to someone in India....and was told that as Keith will be the registered keeper of the new car and not me, they can't insure us as we are not married! Arggghhh!!!! Himself has just called their HO and the person he spoke to said that shouldn't be the case....he is now waiting for someone to call him back from HO or he has threatened to go to the insurance ombudsman!! They were more than happy to take our money just last month!!!

Sorry about the rant...over now!!

Wow! the PEP positivity is just oozing from us at the moment, go us

I must admit, I'm getting in the PEP frame of mind, fed up of all the rich food, in fact I feel quite proud of myself, I opened a bag of peanuts last night, had a couple of mouthfuls, tied it up, then just the now, washed all the salt off them and put them out for the birdies

I already type my menu on the menu thread, but if you want to start typing them on our new thread I don't mind, thank goodness for copy and paste

Well done on going to the gym Nicky I walked down for the paper this morning, in my new boots the fresh snow had covered the ice, made walking a bit easier, wouldn't have done it if it was still icy once OH goes back to work, planning on getting on the Wii, and all the other bits of gym equipment I've got dotted around the house I think I can fit in some baby knitting too

Have a good rest of Wednesday, and stay warm

Well pleasant surprise didnt have to de-ice car this morning bliss despite the fact is was snowing when I went to bed

Re the recent appeal went to give blood this morning but once again didnt get to give Said to the lady think I should give up on being a donor - pledged 8 times I think and only got to give the once maybe will have to eat liver and kale 3 times a day

Dont know if its just me but I havent spoken to anyone (inc all work mates) that is looking forward to New Year

Evening all!

Well I didn't go to the sales today - I went and bought a full price coat and scarf instead!!! It's lovely though, it's like a coat with a skirt - it swooshes around me! (I explained this in the car to o/h and he thought I was mental - he understood when I got home though)

Parents dog is clearly fed up of us being here and wants my mum home to spoil him!

Think I'm within checks today, I haven't eaten loads or anything so I must be close if I am over.

My chest felt rubbish this morning but I'm coughing more now - I guess that means I'm getting better.

Nicky just make a fuss with the insurance co. They can be such a bunch of chancers sometimes - they seem to think that they can do anything because people are too silly to make a fuss. If you don't get anywhere put your complaint in writing threatening the Ombudsman. (Can you tell I've fought with insurance companies before!??)

Am watching the tsunami thing on +1. I think I might end up switching it off as it could get upsetting...

Bloody insurance company.....we won't be dealing with z***ch again that's for sure!!!!! Keith spoke to a very rude customers service woman who said that I was the only person who could cancel the insurance....so I called this evening and did just that! The guy on the other end of the phone asked me why I was cancelling so I told him the script and he said, yes that's our policy!! We'll receive a refund in 14 days minus a £50 cancellation fee!!!!! Nae happy one bit...a letter will be sent to them with a copy going to the ombudsman, as we don't see how it can take so long to receive a refund and why should we pay £50 when they gave us no choice but to cancel!!!

The laguna is ours thought....what an immucalate car!! Keith called another insurance company tonight who had no problems with us being co-habitees and Keith being the registered owner and me as the main driver so I don't lose my NCB!

Marion...aye it sure is a family size car!!

Well I ended up in town with my mum and not at the gym! Didn't really buy anything in the sales...bought a new washing machine as our one is nearly a goner, well it is over 10 years old now so I suppose it's not done bad! Let's hope when John Lewis deliver this time, they find us no problem with their tomtom! We've paid extra for them to uplift the old one and to fit the new one...at least we have some comeback if they do the deed!

M&S in Union Square is fab....I'm not really a markies person but it seems a lot better than their other store in town!

I wasn't very pep friendly today....I had a bacon butty for brunch with a latte in Provost Skenes...then mid afternoon....we went to Victoria Restaurant for a "christmas pudding & sherry" scone and butter with another latte...awfy fine though! I did make a healthy fine tea of grilled salmon, stir fried veg and rice though!

Definately back on the pep from Friday or Saturday at the latest....
