Didn't do particularly well yesterday. Realised about 5pm that I hadn't had anything to eat all day so had 2 cuppa soups and then ordered a pizza from pizza hut express around 8 (Italian with Jalepenos, mushrooms & red onion lipsmacking.gif lipsmacking.gif . Had a couple of wee glasses of wine as well and had early night. Aiming to better today. Got a wee report for work to do this morning then everything will stop for the cup final biggrin.gif then hopefully a wee celebration afterwards biggrin.gif !

oh my goodness its been busy on here! i have got some catching up to do book.gif !

had a v quick scan though and well done annie on your loss 2thumbs.gif !!!!

im feeling fragile again after my night out last night but it was really good so cant complain! i drank loads of diluted juice before i started on the alcohol to try and help not feel so bad today and think it maybe has helped slightly as i get terrible hangovers normally, and although i ve got one today it doesnt seem quite as bad a usual so thers a plus laugh.gif
im going to put a couple of pics from last night in my gallery bit! thankfully they were taken earlier on in the night before i looked like i had been dragged through a hedge backwards y_shock.gif lol

I think it was the 1st time in ages I've had a loss 2 weeks in a row. Must be the challenge. Sounds like it was a good night Minnie. The hangover will be worth it smile.gif

I love the pics Paula smile.gif .

Still not done anything report-wise. Made breakfast, watched 2 episodes of the Bill, bought 12 bottles of wine and a hand-held Dyson, now watching Trial & Retribution and have played about 20 games of Spider Solitaire. You can guess my school reports - easily distracted laugh.gif Got 3 hours before the footie.

This morning I must of been MADDD hubbie and I decided to go to the gym for 8am y_woot.gif
I bumped into my trainer whom informed me that the routine I was doing was now far to easy for me, and has changed my routine completely, sounds soooo difficult but will give it a go tomorrow y_woot.gif

He suggested that I also add the rowing machine into my program, but I told him no way am I putting my huge bum, on that tiny little seat, just a few inches of the ground, with everyone working out behind me, no way, but I have promised him, when I lose a few more stone then I will try it.
I am also going to start using the stepper machine, what fun.. oh how I can imagine my large bum wobbling from side to side, as others are trying to do there work-out, at least it will keep them all motivated, seeing my bum in the air laugh.gif shucks.gif
Came home and had a lovely bacon roll.
Cannot believe I am back to work tomorrow blink.gif

I used to love the rowing machine, Jo. Its a fantastic way to get an all over workout. And you can burn a serious amount of calories. Oh I really miss the gym sad.gif I really need to get my backside back there.

100% perfect up till now..

Back to gym 1100 tomorrow for a re introduction.

Couldn't refuse a 6 pack of diet 7up at somerfield tho' plus it was half price, but the good thing is its caffeine free.

If I am honest Annie, I would love to maybe give it a go, but think I will wait until I have lost two more stone, as you mentioned you realy do get a fantastic work out, but the problem is all the treadmills are positioned behind, and I certainly could not cope while people are running on the treadmill and staring at my huge bum!!! y_woot.gif shucks.gif shucks.gif

Paula good luck for tomorrow, once you get your induction over with, and you are left to it, you will enjoy it. smile.gif

Don't blame you Jo, really. I think being self-conscious is one of the reasons I've not been there for ages. I remember being at a step class ages (and 3 stones lighter) ago and a girl laughing at me. I was going to deck her then decided it wasn't worth it and at least I was workng harder than her. The gym I go to (sorry, am a member of) now is much better and everyone's really nice. Ok, my next challenge is to go next weekend smile.gif even if its only 10 minutes on the treadmill stretcher.gif

Guess what - cup final on telly - I'm on line
Had a good night last night finished up as expected and had two slices of toast and marmalade for supper - 12 checks so that leaves me with 13 in hand - not a bad claw back (all things considered)
So far today 12 checks for breakfast and now eating a bowl of fruit with 1 lf Fom frias - 2 checks - 55 -14 = 41 for the rest of the day
I haven't commited to a dinner menu selection yet - I'll let you know what the decision is later
Jane - welcome back and join us to get PEPing again
Jo - you are fond going to the gym first thing - I hope the new routine works out for you - and I hope you get back in the 'swing' again soon Minnie
Paula - its great that your had a good day yesterday and that today seems to be following the same track - any word on your sister in law (or did I miss a post) - let us know how your new gym induction goes - Annie - let us know if you start back to the gym
I think DH and I might try out the private gym and check out the one off price to use the facilities - last time it was about £8 per head to use the gym / pool (worth it?)

Hello everyone biggrin.gif had a lovely day in Aberdeen yesterday with the "Champagne Ladies", it was nice to meet new people and catch up with others I had met before. I don't think I did too bad at lunch, I had my usual starter - prawn cocktail, then I had the chicken pasta bake, NO ALCOHOL passed my lips, as I had to drive home from the station, only had soda water and lime. Just going to put the oven on for chicken and do the veggies, got to remember to set the recorder for the final of dancing on ice shucks.gif Have a good rest of Sunday laugh.gif

ehtne well done in clawing back those checks! the gym i go to which is the council one if £4 at atime and a swim is £3.10 so i suppose £8 would be kinda average?. i buy a 30 day pass which gives me unlimited use of the gym and the swimming pool at any of the fife council ran leisure centres for £21 which is really good value. it works out far to expensive for me if i paid each time i went. the 30 day thing is good as well becuase its not a yearly membership or anything so after your 30 days are up and you dont want to go for a couple of week sthen you dont have to pay unitl you get another ticket if that makes sense?

well its a night infront of tv for me tonight! 2 hours of dancing on ice followed by the first 2 episodes of the new series of gavin & stacey (love that programme)! oh im all excited! laugh.gif

Thanks Minnie for the cost info - its very helpful - I'll need to check out when the new council facility opens if they have a monthly pass - never thought of asking about this when I was asking prices last week - yearly 'full' membership (joint) is £65 per month - and I don't think I'd end up getting value for money with this

Had half a ham / cheese sandwich mid afternoon - 8 checks and dinner tonight 1/2 portion of lasagne (275 checks) with side salad
today so far then 55 - 36 = 19 checks in hand today plus 13 from yesterday that give me a margin of 32 checks in hand to cover miscalculations and other errors in the week
I've made a pot of 'hot' beef/mushroom/tomatoe free soup for lunch tomorrow at work and think I'll take a sandwich to have with this - another long day tomorrow - DH leaving me at work at 6.30 am then we may have a run to Edin airport tomorrow night (late on) - a very long day - but I promise to report the WI results before we head off
This been a dicy afternoon here with the match on - lots of hot air and blue comments before finally a BIG sigh of relief from the corner of the room - so DH is one happy bunny

Hi, can relate to your hubby Ethne. I was the same. Most certainly a Dr Who moment. The carpet where I hide behind the sofa is getting worn what with European games and cup finals laugh.gif . And the air was most certainly blue for most of the game as well (had a wee singalong with the crowd as well - just as well the cat's deaf cos he can sing better than I do laugh.gif the other one was hiding upstairs somewhere). I'm relieved as well because, with working in Dundee, my life would've been hell tomorrow. You're doing really well with the checks as well this week.

I agree Minnie, Elaine is really good. I'm pleased I decided to go back to her class - its an express one so we get longer to talk. I haven't really seen the dancing on ice but the week I did see it Chris really stood out.

Just had dinner - vegetable thai red curry and rice with a celebratory wee glass of wine to wash it down - well it wouldn't be right wasting the bottle I opened last night biggrin.gif . Watching Raiders of the Lost Ark cos Harrison Ford is so fit in it wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif

Got my menu planned, then weigh in tonight...not very optimistic, think thats why I just want to cry, I could kick myself for the slip up on Friday

aww paula, i know its easy for me to say but try not to feel to bad about your slip up, it may not be as bad as you are thinking? its a pity youve had to cancel your gym app for today but look at it this way, if you go to weigh in tonight and its not a good result you know that tomorrow your starting the gym again so thats you making a big step to get right back on it the very next morning 2thumbs.gif! thats a great way to strat your new pep-tastic week! plus think how well you have done over the last couple of day! do you think you could maybe get out for a walk at some point today? it sometimes helps me if im feelin pretty down just to get out and clear my head with lots of fresh air! hope you feel better as the day goes on, pop back in later and let us know smile.gif

Not having a good day today...eating is fine.

I feel down, woke up like this and for the life of me cannot shift it. Still in jamas, cannot be bothered to even get washed !!

I can only put it down to being weigh in day and I'm dreading it, after such a huge gain last week I feel no different and I just feel I've come to a standstill.

Still not back down to pre Christmas weight (32 lost) and its nearly April for goodness sake mad0234.gif mad0234.gif mad0234.gif

Still going tonight and can only hope for better next week, but really just feel like giving up.

paula, im not sure what to say as dont want to be to tough on you if your feelin bad but dont want to be to soft incase all you need is a kick up the backside! unsure.gif

first up there is NOW WAY you are going to give up! just take a look at you star, youve already lost 24 2thumbs.gif !! do you want to put that back on? silly question wacko.gif and from my past experience if people give up thats exactly what will happen! if you have already lost 32 pds before then you know YOU CAN do it again! it didnt do it all by itself now did it y_rasp.gif youve come this far already so keep it up, look at your first sentence, you said youve had a good fay food wise so theres further proof that you can do it and even when you are feeling pretty crap so thats a good thing right?

i hope you dont think im being to tough on you in saying that, it just sometime we need to be reminded by someone else about how far we've come already!

im not sure if your doing any of the other challenges going on in the let get to know each other thread but if your not or even if you are why not join in on the one we are doing on here at the mo! it might help to keep you motivated. and if you see what ethen does, writing wat shes had that day down on here then that might help you to if you wanted to do something similar? or any thing else you can think of that we will be able to help you with ehy not make a suggestion and im sure everyone will try and help as best they can smile.gif

hello everyone smile.gif I managed ok at the gym, my knee held up well. Got my 1st monthly "stats" today and I have lost 12 1/4 inches, from where???? unsure.gif I'm blowed if I know wacko.gif don't feel much difference, but the figures are there in black and white, so it must be working. I kept my grapes from lunch time to eat in the car on my way home afterwards, I pretended they were maltesers, how sad am I rolleyes.gif I am even thinking about tomorrows lunch already, think it will be hard boiled egg in my pitta, I will make OH's 'piece' the same. That's me back from WI - I must admit I'm a little disappointed only 1/2 lb off - but when I think about it a bit longer I'm reasonably happy with this normally WI on or just after TOTM end up being STS or more likely weight on - hopefully if i stick with the same formula as last week there may be a half decent showing on the scales next Monday night
Paula - how did you get on - I hope you went - avoiding going has never helped me I've only ended up adding to the 'problem' - and no doubt all of us will have similar periods of gain and no loss on our downward journies - have you been measured lately - if not ask at your next class for a check you might be pleasantly suprised
Bought a 6 week pass that takes me up to my holidays (last week to pay for missed week when away)
Paula - as Minnie suggested post what you are having each day (if possible when or soon after you have it) that way you don't stray off a planned menu without reporting or even forget about what you actually had - its certainly helped me put in a good 2 weeks by doing this
Well on saying that I need to report that in the end I probably broke even with the checks for the week - having had a couple of baileys type drinks to much up most of the savings
Today I have eaten - breakfast - branflakes with sultanas and dried cranberries - home made no check soup (hot beef with mushrooms, peppers and cherry toms) 1 ham sandwich (no butter), fl fom frais with pineapple chunks - so till lunchtime that brings me up to 24 checks
Tonight we had the usual chinese takeway for WI night treat - didn't eat it all - 30 checks
So I'd be grateful if you'd all stay with me and throw a few well aimed boots in my direction if you think I need to get things under control - I really want a 'decent' loss next week something say in the region of 2 or 2.5 lbs would be great
Have a good night all of you - I'm away now to check my mains power unit to the lap top then its off to pick up some folk at Edinburgh Airport - no early night tonight

im the same smiles, i always weigh myself during the week, it just cant help myself, i know we get told not to but i cant stop myself pinch.gif . to be honest i think its worked for me both ways as if it looks like ive gained i try harder to get back inkine but if it looks like ive lost quite a bit i am sometimes tempted to think oh good i can have an extra treat ohmy.gif not a good idea really!

do you mind me asking what they have you doing at the gym unsure.gif i managed a lot of calories tonight but its not really high impact that im doing, i was basically just at the gym for an extra 15 minutes.
i done
200 cals - stepper
200 cals - recumbant (think thats how you spell it unsure.gif ) bike
100 cals - cross trainer
60 cals - treadmill
40 cals - rowing machine

i enjoy the stepper most, and i find the hardest thing to be the cross trainer. the treadmill i get quite bored with hence only 60 cals. the rowing i havent done for ages and only went on it at the end of my session as i had the place to myself.

Well I have had yet another sleepless night mad0234.gif Went to the gym, didn't do a work out but they set me a new programme, they were really pleased at my weight loss and I've lost a total of 8 inches off my body (mostly my hips). Told me what not to do when I've been awake all night, decided to go when I get up out of bed on a night time as opposed to going before bed when I'm on nights. Annoyed I didn't work out, but I'm shattered and a wee bit chesty too.

Feeling loads more positive than yesterday, feel embarrassed about worrying so much about a bloody weigh in !!!!

Well there's been plenty of chat this morning - we eventually got to bed at 2am this morning - long day 5.30am to 2 am - but its now over

Well back to a new start this week and hopefully a decent loss next Monday
Cheerios / ss milk and hot water - 10 checks and presently eating a chicken salad box 12 checks (always get < 1/2 portion of all the higher cal stuff eg: colslaw, cheese, egg etc) - and haven't yet decided on a dinner menu

well im kinda feeling like a tonne weight this morning as i have got my totm which is just blah!!! im just going off to phone the gym to book in for tonight again so hopefully i can manage another 500 or even 600 at a push tonight again. that might help me feel a wee bit better, wanting to keep positive tho so im not feeling as bad as i usually do when its this time! some months i can be a right misery guts for days and can even cry just watching adverts. have you seen the one for first choice holidays where it is just the mans face and hes smiling then the camera pans out a bit and you see his kid running up to him. well last month i couldnt stop crying at that y_cry.gif i just thought it was so lovely! laugh.gif my o/h just sits and laughs at me tho, typical male laugh.gif

im just sitting here wondering what im going to make for dinner just do not have a clue. im going to have a look in the freezer and see what jumps out at me.
