It was the one to show me I wasn't the only one with over 100lbs to loss when I first started. Not sure even if I would have still been at SS if it wasn't for this thread and a couple of others.

Yippee!!!! 2thumbs.gif I am back to SS now - went today for the weigh and go and found the scales told me I was lighter than I had expected that was brilliant!!!

DH settling down to watch the match so I thought I'd just see whats going on before getting back to my sewing
I see I need to re submit my ticker to go with the signiture and will update tomorrow after the WI (hopefully with a good loss)
Thinking of buying some walking boots to walk home from work with the dog on any dry nights after work when DH not around for a lift - this should start help building up the exercise - havn't been too good at getting going with this aspect yet y_whistle.gif

hiya smiles smile.gif my weeks going quite good so far (touch wood) just mon/tue/wed to get through until w/i so fingers crossed i'll get a loss! how about you? hope your having a good week biggrin.gif and everyone else as well!!

My week has been good, have been trying to go to the gym more, hopefully this will help as I must lose 2.5lbs this week for my 2.5 stone sticker, would be good if I can do that for next week (10 weekly weigh in next week)

As for today I was up early showered, did all the housework (well most) made a cuppa, catching up on here, followed with work, gym, shopping Lol hectic day planned !

hiya smiles, i was thinking its been kinda quite myself on this thread, hopefully it'll pick up again v soon biggrin.gif ! my week has been pretty good so far so im still keeping my fingers crossed for a wee loss this week smile.gif how has your week been? hope its going good!

welcome jane, hows the gym going so far? i go to my local swimming pool one, its not very big but i like it that way as i tend to get very hot very quickly and its not a pretty site, but well worth it laugh.gif they dont do any body jam/attack type classes there tho so once i get a bit more in shape i might have to try out something like that, but for now, the cross trainer, treadmill, stepper etc will do me just fine i think wink.gif

Hiya,

Well done Littlefire. I'm well pleased for you.

Not been on for the past few days. Back at work after my wee illness last week. At least I'm looking vaguely quite normal now! I coudn't believe it when the alarm went off at 5.45 his morning. Ist weigh-in was tonight and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. Was really depressed after the class but at least thats me started. So pleased the thread is up and running again.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad with my losses but to have more would be fantastic
I think I need to reorganise what I'm doing / eating etc
Anyway all the best for Thursday's WI - I've just got my 1st blue sticker with SS (I had lost 4lbs the week before joining up) and am dearly hoping for another sticker for my birthday in April - that would be a super present (along with the birthday quilt blocks from ladies in the US and Norway)
I hope all others on the thread have good losses this week as well

Awwww honey, but it really does not matter how much you lose, as long as you are losing that is all that matters, and also I probably have more to lose.. Personally this time round for me I am giving it 110 per cent, well trying too blink.gif
It must of been about over two years ago I lost nearly six stone with SS, with still a long way to go, but because of a stressful life I was having, to do with family, personal and my job, I just lost all control, and then started spirraling completely out of it, and for some reason I just could not grab onto it again, and if I am honest I just felt I had let everyone down, including my CM whom at this point, I just could not face shucks.gif shucks.gif In the end I had gained nearly four stone, out of the six which I had lost, I really did feel totally disgusted with myself !!
In August we moved once again, but this time from Aberdeenshire down to Lincs/Nottinghamshire I decided I would like to re-join, so I joined the forum once again, but didn't post anything, because if I am honest deep down I just could not face it just yet, I just was not ready to start healthy eating again shucks.gif the time just was not right.. Anyway cutting the story short, the few months flew by, like they do, now it was November, and I was thinking it will soon be christmas, then I started to think YES I can do this, and I am ready, which I really do think is so important, you really do have to be ready, so I joined the gym (I try and go 5 nights a week) at first I could only walk 4 minutes up hill now I can do 30 mins I really must of been so unfit.. Lol still am but I'm trying smile.gif I think what I am trying to say, is this time I am totally motivated and I will hear the bell ring, I am planning everyday, if i go out I cut back the day before and the day after, because if I am honest I really do want this more than anything, crazy as it sounds!! That is why I decided I cannot keep looking at the past, just enjoy what I have in my life, and go for it, but as I was saying at the begining, it does not matter how quickly or slowly we lose the pounds, as long as we get there in the end, that really is all that matters.. And it is really only down to us, to make our dreams happen....

I'm being good and enjoying what I'm eating - out of the 60 checks allowed per day so far this week
Tues - 37 checks - was puke.gif that night
Wed - about 50 checks and will probably be about 50 today as well
I dont feel hungry and to be honest for once if I dont buy the sweets, biscuits, cakes etc I'm not bothered about having them even when counting them
that little switch in the head must be locked in place for once shucks.gif
Stick in there folks - WE CAN ALL DO IT
and remember to prevent getting to this stage again we MUST this time become Lifetime TW Members 2thumbs.gif

i am delighted flick! but i really do have long way to go yet. the first few stone seemed to come off easy but the last stone has been much slower, but im determined that i will get there, although i still havent set a target yet so not quite sure where 'there' is yet. i would really really love just to be able to fit into smaller clothes and thats helping me keep going. you are doing fantastic as well! i love your ticker thingy at the bottom of your comments, when you look at that you must feel great at how far youve come. biggrin.gif

confused.gif Done a stupid thing before weighin this week.I am trying to increase my fluid intake and had 2 mugs of tea and a pint of water and only 1 visit to loo hence a 2lb gain,will NEVER do that again.Don't know what I was thinking of.

My problem is I need to reduce the coffee and up the water etc - not as easy as it sounds unfortunately

Smiles - Im having a pretty good week - have had take away only ate 1/2 and marking down the checks I'm going to look closely at the excel document that Chaz as made up for a log and double check the values especially the fats and log into it next week - we'll see if this helps make a differience y_shock.gif
Went looking for walking shoes today - not prepared to spend a fortune of course the ones I liked not my size now waiting for cotton traders catalogue and will order from there - puts off walking for another week sad.gif

Littlefire - know what you mean about coffee. I drink really strong black coffee but have managed to get down to a maximum 3 cups per day from at least 10. A spreadsheet is a good idea. I set one up as a template for planning my meals for the week. I also have a graph where I will be charting my loss every week and hopefully the trend will be downwards! I know this is extremely anal but, hey, I work in Quality so I'm supposed to be laugh.gif Hopefully it will keep me motivated.

Kop Queen - hope you're feeling better.

Had a wee bit too much wine last night and got the munchies (not good I know although I had the checks left to cover it). I was a bit squiffy and remembered I had some breadsticks left over from New Year so I went into the cupboard, reached up for them and a tin fell out and hit my foot. I swore a lot and now I have a huge bruise on my foot. You know what the moral of the story is........ biggrin.gif

Hey all

I am here just been busy with kids, work etc. Have worked 7 days the last 2 weeks.

Been a bit naughty today zipped.gif and went 4 cx over but think I should be ok as I have some cx saved. zipped.gif

Just thinking about our weight losses and when I started someone suggested that I make a paperclip chain, I think it will start it again, will have to go and buy some though to start it. But it's great when you see it growing 1 paper clip= 1lb.
Try it, makes you feel good and you can carry it around to remind you how well you have done.

Anyways enough ramblings, hope you are all having a good weekend.

I am planning an early night as I am working again tomorrow.

Catch up tomorrow on Monday night again.

WI tonight - I'll let you know how I got on when I come back
Went to Lloyds chemists this morning for their 'Measure what Matters' 12 week programme - ITS FREE biggrin.gif - you get weight, BMI, Blood Pressure and waist measured and over the 12 weeks you get vouchers off equipment (juicer or steamer) and at the end a £10-00 voucher to spend in the shop y_cloud9.gif .
I think the Dumfries shop scales are well off compared to the SS ones - tonight will tell probably 5-7lbs of differience blink.gif
Therefore trusting SS and using L for freebies and bloodp check

I'm putting it down to TOTM and the cinnamon twists and options hot chocs I had - and thats with counting them in each days checks and having about 40 checks left at the end of the week!
I think there needs to be a change of tactics for next week - change in foods etc
This WILL NOT DO angry.gif
also just shows I'm right the lloyds chemist scales are off by 7lbs

I was the same as you last night Littlefire - no loss. CM thinks it could just be because I've eaten more food than normal and it will take a couple of weeks to get used to it. Thinking about a change too - less wine dry.gif and therefore less nibbles! Might try and avoud bread too.

Oh well, hope this week is more successful.
