I love mushrooms on toast but they taste even better if you chop up some garlic through the mushrooms!

(mind you I'm not sure if I'd want garlic mushrooms for brekkie!!)

Now, though this sounds disgusting, try sprinkling a little lemon juice - and of course tons of black pepper - believe me, it is divine !

What's nicer though?
Tinned mushrooms or fresh ones?
I love chopped tomatoes on toast, so mushrooms should go down a treat too!

I like both but prefer fresh, sometimes find the tinned ones a bit 'slimy'!!! x

I cooked my mushrooms with a little soy saucenand black pepper last week and they were yummy! I used to use tons of butter and garlic so had to have a rethink on what to cook them with lol.

I am also a HUGE mushroom fan. I often fry them in 'one cal spray' with a touch of chinese five spice or mixed herbs (and salt/pepper seasoning) - I like to time it with a fairly hot pan so the mushrooms get those slightly crispy singed edges. Then served on some wholemeal toast - the WW malted danish is great for this as it goes really cripsy and crunchy in the toaster. 4 checks for something divine - and if you want to really go to town you can add a poached egg too for just 3 checks.
I also like really fresh mushrooms poached in water that's had a stock cube and some mixed herbs added, on toast or as a different way of having mushrooms as a side.
