Previously known as the 'Girls Reducing' thread on the 100lb part of the forum.

Basically we run our challenge in 10 week chunks, and we aim to loss 1lb a week (more is a bonus).

Littlefire will create a chart where we record our weigh in results and any exercise that we do over the time.

Also if you want to she will link you to the food diary that you put in what you eat on a daily basis and others linked to the challenge can view and leave comments to help you along your way.

Once the 10weeks is up you get the option to continue or not before the new charts are created.

So if you would like to join us feel free to sign up here, and just join in chat on the thread.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you find it usefull.

We will be delighted to have you on our challenge. It doesn't officially start until the Sunday 4th Jan as most people go back to class on the week beginning the 5th.
Although some of us are PEPing on our own and we will all be posting on here in the next few days.
If you need anything just shout, we are all a friendly bunch. HONEST!!!!

Donald you are mosre than welcome to join us. No need to change your name to Donna unless you want to jerry.gif
Basically we do the challenge in 10 week blocks, and we record exercise as well as our weigh in results each week. You will also get the option to have a food record chart which will allow you to record your daily food diary and for other members to leave comment, feedback and suggestions for you.

On top of that you will get support and encouragment from fellow musketeers on this thread and we know you will do the same in return.

Littlefire is our charts guru and we will officially start the charts on Sunday 4th January 2009. But you can post on this thread anytime now and someone will answer.

Littlefire will leave a messege on here to let you all know how to access them. So watch this space.

Of course you can join the musketeers. I don't go to class either and I can honestly say I have found the support on our previous challenge fab 2thumbs.gif losing 10.5lbs in 10weeks, which is much more than I normally manage on my own.

OK - Flick has got things up and running - that said I'm planning to get the chart sorted in the next day are two so to do that I need the following information:-
  • each of you taking part has to PM me with your direct email address - I then create a link using that address to the chart so you can enter your exercise / WI results etc
  • If you want access to a food chart - it may be better to organise this in groups of 5 (ie buddy up) otherwise it gets the charts get to cumbersome - especially for clearing / cleaning to restart each week

Some of you may have sent me an email address for previous challenges - but -
I'm going to wipe all previous records for SS address groups and start again clean and clear for 2009 so please resend

Likewise (and I know I've been bad for this myself over the last few months) - you have to record losses and gains on the chart - all too often charts are made up and end up with the majority of the chart not being used and folk dropping off - eg: this is how we came up with the title 'Musketeers' it ended up on the +girls thread that there were only 3 of us posting on a regular basis - we all want to help each other and its no good that when things get rough or we end up putting weight on we hide, its not the point of the thread
each and everyone of us makes mistakes - we are all human - but the mistake we make today my help someone in the group from making the same mistake that lets them gain 1st instead of 1 or 2 lbs

Come on - try - please and remember we are not fighting this never ending battle for anyone but ourselves - we each have reasons for doing this - they may be personal, medical, family - well whatever but we are doing this for OURSELVES and if we can't acheive target weight in 2009 we will all make sure we are a lot bl**dy closer to it at the end of 2009 than we were at the start of it

OK a little update on what's been arranged so far by Flick:-

I have a chart drafted out with the following names

Right now to access the chart you need to have a googlemail address - this is free - just go to googlemail (if you don't have one) and sign up
Later today I'll add any further addresses received and create a link which gives those people access to the chart.
Each week you update the chart by put the cursor over the box by you name under the week and enter the WI results and update the total at the end of the week accordingly - in doing the chart this way we are each responsible for keeping our own records updated

Now the food charts - as I said we would probably be best to keep these into managable groups of say 5 - and I would suggest that once the first charts have been put together the groups organise themselves to manage them - ie stripping away the previous weeks info and prep for the new week - and the chart groups would be organised on the basis of the first 5 to want one (connected to this challenge) is group one and so on
so as things stand (ie: those who have PM'd to say they want to be on the food chart) -
group 1 would be Flick, TheWeeBarrel, Littlefire, CBx, MissBroxi
group 2 would be DawnC, Stephie, Elle,

The best way to access the charts is if you create a link at your signatures - I'll be updating mine later to the new challenge - but it will require separate food chart links for each of the groups as I'll create separate charts for each group eg: group 1 would read FOOD CHART: F,TEB,L,CBx, MissB or something along those lines (I've still to decide if I'm altering the chart format - any suggestions?)

Ok I think that is it for now if I've forgotten anything I'll pop back later and

Thank you for the compliments re organising the charts etc - but there is no need - it's just a way to help us work together on the challenge and for all to feel that they are doing a little more than just reporting in each week at WI

There are now 2 eats chart groups formed and I've updated my signature to provide a link to the general WI chart and group 1 eats chart - remember to create a link at your signature you click the following tabs:-
home - my account - edit signature
in the box there you can creat links etc - make sure pop ups are allowed temporarily to create a link (above box with green arrow and plus sign) - in the window that appears for the http address you paste the copied address (it appears at the top of the open google document) go OK then a second window will appear where you type in the name you want for the link at your signature

So those in another group eats chart may want to make things easier for updating etc by creating a link (likewise for any following groups)
group 1 - Flick, TheWeeBarrel, Littlefire, CBx, MissBroxi
group 2 - DawnC, Stephie, Elle, AudreyT-Bird, FatGirlSlim
