After the hiccup yesterday - anothe dodgy day today so I'll have to sort things out for the rest of the week
I'm doing OK with the water intake each day but organising food properly is a no go especially as I haven't been shopping yet
Well off to sort the charts out now
CC good luck with the interviews tomorrow
And it's great to see so much chat here - long may it continue
Have a good night

Evening All
Well thats it, first gym session under my belt, was great to get back and wasn't nearly as tough as I expected.
I wanted to ask you guys to have a look at my eating chart - do you think I am saving too many checks? I dont mean to be saving them, I'm not saving for a special weekend or anything but I cant see the sense in eating for the sake of it. As you can see I'm definitely not starving myself lollll.
When I lost loads before I was eating like this but I was just interested in what you thought?
Thanks muchly xx
Flick
Jan 7 2009, 07:44 PM
Funny I have just came off of the page and yes I think if you can eat some more do so. Don't force yourself to eat it but if you fancy something an you have the cx go for it.
I think when we cut out cx quite a bit (not saving them for something special) when we drop down to the lower amount of cx we hit a plateu. Well I think thats what happened to me. Now I try to have between 45-50cx a day and my limit is 50. It might be different for you though Jaci.
Good luck

Thanks Laura, I know myself the numbers look bad on paper but I feel full and well fed. I think I will see how it goes this week before I start force feeding lollllll, but if the loss is rubbish this week then I'll be scoffing next week.
I have just had an extra couple of slices of toast and will have my porridge later though........tomorrow should be better cos I'm going out for lunch with Mum.
What days do we all weigh in then? Looking forward to 1st weeks results from the Muskateers....
My first weigh in will be Saturday.
LF - meant to ask - do we just delete the content from our food tracker after we have updated the weight loss tracker, update the date and start again?

Jaci I know it can be near impossible to eat the cx some days, just do what you can, or treat yourself once a week with your spare cx.
I am a Sunday weigh in just now (an experiment to stay away from the bakers
) so will see how it goes.
Yeh we are just to delete our food diary content and start it fresh each week.

Morning all - well I've loads of checks to claw back - if I can - just need to get the little grey matter sorted out
Stephie - you maybe haven't copied across the correct address - if you look at the address bar at the top of the screen when you have the chart open -eg check what's on the very top bar now - that is what you copy across (from the google account though) and paste into the the http:// address which comes up with the link button - remember put in http:// only once - and when you've copied that in click the box and another box comes up that you can name the link - eg: eats chart - group *
MissB enjoy lunch out today
Have a good day each of you - 'see' you later
MB - I dont think it will matter now and again to save that many checks but I wouldnt go doing it all the time. The main thing is you are feeling well fed! On a Sunday I am the same, I force myself to eat.
Cos I'm not working I'm finding that I am only eating 3 meals a day + my edb's with no crisps etc so I am padding out my meals with extra rice, pasta etc...
No gym today, had an interview this morning and 1 this afternoon, need to get some housework done, house is a coup!
Morning everyone, it's been a busy morning here, but I have been to Curves and even had time to make porridge for brekkie!!
Hope you are all well, and still raring to go! xxx

Still seem to be peping away nicely. I've completely ignored the large boxes of chocolates in my office too... worryingly they aren't even bothering me - dunno whats come over me!
MB - I agree with evenone else, don't eat for the sake of it but saving that many checks all the time might not do you any good.
Hope everyone has a good day and good luck to all the job hunters! xx

Afternoon All
Just poping in to say Hello and see how everyone is doing. Everyone is so positive just now its great and long may it continue
So far so good for me today but it's always the evenings I find difficult. So hopfully between kids, TV , PC and the wii I will be kept occupied.
Right best go and get on.
Good luck those who are job hunting, I had my first experience on the other end of it today, short leeting for candidates, I am getting to be on an interview panel in a couple of weeks time and I can't wait to see how it looks from the other side of the table.
Catch you all later.
Laura xxxx
That sounds interesting Laura, hadn't even thought about what it's like at the other side of the table until I read your post and I have had a lot of interviews and jobs in my life!
Miss Broxi
Jan 8 2009, 06:34 PM
Oooooer its not at all nice on the other side of the table, I assure you. I do lots of recruiting in my job and apart from being quite draining cos you tend to do several a day.
But its the pressure of the impact of your decision that always gets to me - people telling you, showing you how much it would mean to them to get the job and you feel like you could make them so happy or soooooo upset.
The interviews I do are very structured and require a lot of writing up and post interview paperwork.........all that said its my job to make sure we get the best from the interviewee and put them at ease and at the end of the day its still no where near as daunting as being interviewed. So good luck to everyone job hunting at the moment.
Good day today, took wee man to soft play and then grabbed a bite of lunch, came home, went to gym, made dinner, now having a wee cuppa.
Hope everyone is well and pepping away xxx

Off to add Linzi to the challenge chart - welcome on board Linzi
Just had a quick curry for dinner - chicken, tin of tomatoes, 1/2 jar of low cal low fat korma sauce, onion served with a little naan bread - no rice -
- 16 checks
Other than that a 'reasonable' day - but I'll have to fill in the chart to work out the number of checks
Have a good night all of you and I'll catch you tomorrow
EDIT - if I don't snack tonight I'll only be 5 checks over - yeeha that's 15 saved today

Evening all - I had a wee treat today a lunchtime - didn't stick to the cup a soup but had a lovely brown salad roll with chicken - so I'll have to pop off to the eats chart and fill it up - hopefully I'll be able to share a bottle of wine with DH tonight
I've a day out planned tomorrow - I've been invited by friends to go to the local 'spinners, weavers, and dyers' monthly meeting - my pal is trying to get be back into the knitting mode - just what I need to add to my patchwork and quilting (with the multitude of 'work in progress' projects there are around here), but I am thinking that I'll be able to sort out some birthday and christmas presents for this year that way - starting with some socks for Dad for his birthday - and I do fancy some of those lovely knitted / felted bags - there are some stunning patterns around - looks like my hands will be busy - what with the internet, sewing and now knitting - hopefully the weight will drop off too
I've had an email from a fellow weight loss battler that one way to kick start and get off the dreaded plateau, that worked for her, was to change what she ate - it seems I've probably fallen into the same trap she was in - same basic breakfast and same basic lunch - so I'll have to do some lateral thinking and find alternatives - any of you had this work for you?

Hi Ethne
My old CM used to say to me to try and change my eating pattern, however as I am such a fussy eater it can be difficult. I do however try to swap main meals to lunchtime just to be a bit different, and I also eat pasta now which I never used to.
Maybe once I get back into the swing off PEP I will try to try some new things.
Hope you have all had a good day and are planning a great weekend.
Good luck to CC, CB and Miss Broxi, and to anyone else that will be weighing in tomorrow.

Well done CC!! Well deserved loss!!
I managed to lose 2lbs this week, I am over the moon!!
Miss Broxi, have you weighed in yet? Hope it's good news!!
I usually have a wee relaxed day food wise on wi day, but I am going to pep all the way today...determined not to undo my good work.
I should really only be weighing in monthly according to dr and Curves coach, but I feel this is a long time, and I become complacent, so going to weigh in weekly. I will post my overall monthly loss though.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

SO far so good for me and we completed our bridge walk both ways. Its was borderline to if we are getting to do it or not as the winds were 48-50miles per hour. Apparently they shut the bridge to walkers if they reach higher. I thought we were going to get blown away on the way back as it was getting difficult in places to walk properly.
But its done now.
As for PEP so far so good for me today.
Well done to CC CB and Miss Broxi on those great weight losses for the start of the year. Hope I don't let the side down tomorrow.

Well done CC Miss Broxi and CB fantastic weight loses.
Hope you all have a great Saturday
Just had 1hr walk with dog before weather turned too bad.
I gave my mum my scales when I joined class on Tue and now starting to panic that I've not lost anything, I'm so used to jumping on scales when I want to but decided to try only being weighed at class

Well done ladies on those losses - great going - I hope I'm on the 'blip' on the chart come WI on Monday night
Laura - I'll bet you ended up loosing a few more lbs in doing your walk as you were battling against the high winds
Stephie - you did the right thing in passing your WI scales off to your Mum - there is nothing more disappointing when you think you've been good and you've increased weight overnight
Megygogs - sorry if I've given you the impression you'd done something wrong - you haven't - I've maybe added you onto the food record chart after I'd done the WI chart - if you want taken off the chart it's no problem, but I hope you'll stay on it and find that it helps you in some way
Audrey - why don't you plan to get your nails done as a treat if you reach your intended target over this 10 week period - it will give you something to work towards
I went to the Spinners, Weavers and Dyers group today and had a really enjoyable time - even if I ended up ripping all the knitting I'd done there out - too many stitches - ooph this group looks like it will throw more interests in my direction than I'll need - yes I want to do the fabric (now wool) dyeing, I don't mind knitting - but next time it looks like I'll be given the chance to try some spinning fleece into yarn
Well off now to catch up on the knitting I've ripped out - starting now for birthdays and christmas presents - hoping that all or most will be handmade gifts this year
now I'd better see how my eat chart stands for today
