QUOTE (Littlefire @ Jan 10 2009, 07:22 PM)

Well done ladies on those losses - great going - I hope I'm on the 'blip' on the chart come WI on Monday night
Laura - I'll bet you ended up loosing a few more lbs in doing your walk as you were battling against the high winds
Stephie - you did the right thing in passing your WI scales off to your Mum - there is nothing more disappointing when you think you've been good and you've increased weight overnight
Megygogs - sorry if I've given you the impression you'd done something wrong - you haven't - I've maybe added you onto the food record chart after I'd done the WI chart - if you want taken off the chart it's no problem, but I hope you'll stay on it and find that it helps you in some way
Audrey - why don't you plan to get your nails done as a treat if you reach your intended target over this 10 week period - it will give you something to work towards
I went to the Spinners, Weavers and Dyers group today and had a really enjoyable time - even if I ended up ripping all the knitting I'd done there out - too many stitches - ooph this group looks like it will throw more interests in my direction than I'll need - yes I want to do the fabric (now wool) dyeing, I don't mind knitting - but next time it looks like I'll be given the chance to try some spinning fleece into yarn
Well off now to catch up on the knitting I've ripped out - starting now for birthdays and christmas presents - hoping that all or most will be handmade gifts this year
now I'd better see how my eat chart stands for today
luv to stay on it i just wasn,t sure if iwas doing it right i,m not to up on computers

it,s so good being on here i,ve come on before in the past but not got involved ta again

you are so helpfuland sarah my cm in fort william is brill xx

Ah Megygogs - it's no problem - if your unsure what you'r doing but have the google account which allows you access to the documents - why dont you go to the google home page at the top is a link to documents - click on that link and make yourself a document to play with and practice on - the charts are 'spreadsheets' and just an alternative programme the same as excel - have fun (if you can't manage that PM me and I'll try to help you through the process)
How is everyone else today - just having a cuppa here before going to Aldi for shopping - need to do a major catch up - only did a mini shop between the holidays when my stepson ended up staying over and now the cupboards are bare

You are all doing fab, your eat charts are looking good, it's nice to see how other people spend their checks.
I did my food shopping online last night so as of between 2 and 4pm I will have healthy food in the house again, it's old mother hubbard in here just now.
Have a good day everyone, catch up with you later on.......xxx

Just back from getting the shopping at Aldi - compared what I bought with shopping on line with Asda (who I just found out will deliver to Dumfries from Carlisle) - I don't shop - if I can help it - at Tesco's as they are destroying our town - we will have 3 Tesco's of various sizes within a 4 mile radius and if the romours are correct maybe even 4 stores
I paid about £19 less (not including deliver charges) in comparison to Asda - I dread to think what it would have been at Tesco's - so it looks like I'll not be shopping on line anytime soon but I will get a little exercise whilst walking around the store

Good day today, plan to go to they gym Sat, Mon, Wed, Fri so no gym today. Went to visit friends for afternoon coffee, bless her she made a gorgeous victoria sponge filled with fresh cream and raspberry jam.........I resisited - yay me! Russ has 2 HUGE pieces - Booooooooo!!!!!!
SS venison sausages for dinner were delicious, I cooked them in the George Forman initially before finishing in the pan with gravy and onions. Not one drop of fat came out of them. I would definitely buy them again and definitely recommend them peeps.
Well done on your 2lbs Jules thats great

Evening all
Hope you have had a good weekend. I haven't been up to much today the weather is miserable, and the twins have been at a party and Shay has been playing on the wii fit most of the afternoon.
Back on PEP tomorrow and looking for a wee bit of advice. Its my twins birthday party next saturday and I know I will nibble. However its not there birthday until the Sunday and we are planning to go out for tea.
SO the question is, should I save cx all week for Saurday and Sunday? or Should I weigh on Saturday instead and have the weekend off (but with watching what I eat).
I was thinking of saving between 7-10cx a day and to help me enjoy the weekend, but I am not sure that would be the best idea.
Any thoughts, suggestions etc would be appreciated.

Jan 11 2009, 09:21 PM
Awwww sounds lovely Flick, something nice to look forward too.
Personally I would save checks during the week and use them on Sat and Sun, even though you will nibble on Sat, make sure its damage limitation and buy lower fat goodies for kids like Quavers instead of cheesy balls, maltesers, pink and whites etc or why not take your own wee healthy nibbles.
On Sunday you an still make the "best" choices from the menu and enjoy your meal, plan ahead if poss, decide what your having before you go and dont be tempted by the menu.
I guess my theory would be if you weigh in on Sat and be more relaxed with PEP over the weekend it will come back and bite you the next again week which could be demotivating.
Hmmmmm feel like I'm starting to ramble so going to shut up now......let us know what you decide though xxx

Flick I agree with Miss Broxi, I would save my checks too then at least if you go OTT you had some saved, better than none at all.
Miss Broxi what are pink and whites are they those wee biscuits?
I'm so glad I joined the Musketeer Challenge you have all kept me motivated this week, and away from the biscuit tin!!

Well done to all who got through the weekend PEP perfect and those who went to WI and those who lost at WI
I'm hoping that a change in what I'd normally eat will help at WI next week but I've still got to face tonight - so time will tell
I've started refilling in my eats chart with todays planned meals - so I just need to concentrate on the water intake at work but know I'll have at least 2 glasses of dil juice with dinner tonight (same as normal)
Have a good day

Hello, sorry I've been awol but wont have proper internet access at home for a while while we get our wireless thingie working - stupid computers!!!
Anyway looks like the have been some brilliant losses this week! Well done everyone!
I've lost 4lbs so I'm well chuffed with that!
Good luck to everyone still to wi!
I've got a stinky cold now though and my voice has been coming and going all weekend so didn't do much exercise, just the wii fit and pottering about the house. Batched cooked some chilli and veg sauce and slept lots.
FLick I agree with everyone, saving some checks is def the best thing to do but I know that if I did wi on the wekend I'd eat more rubbish but that is just me... you probably have more will power!
Right, off to do some work now. Will pop back on later... xx

Morning Folks
And welcome to another week.......fantastic loss Elle, massive well done. Its great to see everyone having so much succcess.
Shona - yep P&W are the wee wafer and mallow kids biscuits but they are only 2 checks and big enough to feel like your eating something lol, definitley ward off the sugar craving for a wee while
Ethne - I wondered if we might add another line to the weekly loss sheet below the last name so we could tally our combined weekly weight loss as we go. I think it would be quite a powerful motivator to see our combined loss as one number. I'm happy to do the sums every week, if you guys think its worthwhile?????
Last night Flick and I were bleathering on MSN and were talking about how nice it would be to actually meet the other Musketeers since we all rely on each other so much on a daily basis. I suggested it might be nice to plan a wee mini meet after every 10 week block, a chance to catch up and SEE each others success. We had thought maybe just an afternoon/lunch/dinner type thing, nothing too expensive since we are all a bit poor at the moment with things being as they are
We had thought if everyone could let us know where they are (PM me if you dont want to post) and we could change the location everytime so we involve everyone......Happy Days !!!!
Soooooo what do you think?????
Busy day today, off to the shops for a bit, then soft play with a friend, her wee girl and of course the lovely Mackie Doodle, then home to the gym before its time to make the dinner.
Have a great day xxxx

Can't move from the house
waiting for a delivery from Argos, so Curves will have to wait until tomorrow, hoping to get back to 3 days, if my back lets me
Hello again Paula and Happy New Year to you too
good luck for going back to class.
Speaking of class, I have a bit of a quandry, I have an 'assessment' for a job at Homebase on Thursday at 5pm, and don't know if I'll be finished in time for the full class, just for weigh and go, or miss it altogether. So, I could go to full class tomorrow 2 days early for WI, I think I have been OK PEP wise so I could get a loss, but don't know what to do
Well done on the losses girls
and good luck for everyone still to WI
Have a good rest of Monday

Just been reading through this post and you are all sounding really positive! Well done!
And I was wondering if I could join in please? I'll set up an googlemail account and email Ethne the details later today, if that's okay?
I need a boot up the bahooky as my bp is high and the only way to get it down is to lose some lbs...the GP has advised
Hope you all have a great day and I'll catch up with you all later x

Gosh but there have been LOADS of posts this morning - great - but apologies if I miss anyone out
Great loss Elle
Welcome back Paula, great to see you around again - I look forward to getting your details - yours as well Northstar
Miss B - I'll see what I can do to sort out a COMBINED WL TOTAL for all on the chart
Keep the good work up all of you and if you've had a 'blip' over the weekend
start afresh today - it might not be a disaster
EDIT: Miss B - the chart has been altered to include a total loss indicator at the bottom
for those who have entered their losses to date - ie: week 1 lunchtime today - the total is an incredible 21lbs off
Now remember when filling in your loss on the last column is you loose 4 lbs just type in 4, however if you've gained weight (eg: 2.bs on) you need to type in -2 - that way the total automatically adjusts correctly - please please please ensure you do it this way or we won't have an acurate record of the combined losses
Plus a gentle reminder - each week fill in your WI results - rows not filled in after a couple of weeks will be removed from the chart - it doesn't look great if there is a percentage of the chart not filled in
If you'r off on holiday, sick, couldn't make WI - just type in the necessary comment - it lets us all know you'r still wanting to partake in the challenge

Hmmm, I'd maybe say better to go to a class for the encouragement etc than to miss it completely - sure CM will take that into consideration and you will have an extra long week after that to get a brilliant loss in... tt will also mean you might be more relaxed during your assessment if your not worrying about getting away in time for class.
I'm a big giant snot monster today but don't want to go home sick as I've got thursday and friday booked as flexi days and don't want people to think I'm taking the p*ss. Just have to keep doping myself up on lemsips and hot squash...
