Good Morning Ladies!
Where is everyone? I know I have been a bit rubbish at posting but I am back now and looking for some chat!
I have been a bit off the rails for the last couple of weeks - nearing a month now! I woke up this morning determined to start a fresh. Laura has been trying to 'turn me around' and I am going to listen to her! More because I am scared of her and I want to be showing some good results before Jaci comes back!!
So ... anyone care to join me AGAIN on a fresh start - but this time I know its for real!!! (Anyone remember that song?)
Was late for work again this morning - having terrible problems parking and my blood pressure levels are at an ultimate high. Started new hours for Erin starting school and so far I am failing miserably on getting in on time. Best get on with what I am paid a pitance to do!
Be back soon and hope to see some of your lovely peoples messages!

I will join you too in the fresh start Monday -so far so good!
I went back to class last week and so far i have been stuffing my face. I am feeling better today. Am not going to class on Thursday this week but i will definately be back next week. Anyone care to give me a kick up the bum?
Bank holiday today. I am off but looking after my wee boy (who has an eye infection and a cold)

Ok Lorraine and Ainey - Lets get this Weight Loss Party started!! So far (ha ha) I have been good today. I have a huge family party on Saturday so I am going to try and save 5 checks a day (that leaves me 40 - ouch!) and also up my exercise. Saturday is my new weigh day - peer pressure from Laura! But it means that I have a whole week to claw back my bad behaviour. Saying that I am going to be extra good in the run up to it so the damage is limited. Does that make sense?
The jogging has been a bit poor over the weekend. I was sick on Friday night, out all day Saturday and then boozing Saturday night - Sofa Day Sunday. I will get back into it today and will do 'at least' 2 miles tonight I promise. The run is only a few weeks away and I am dragging my heels slightly. Any inspiration people?
Laura - How is Booster going? What exercise are you doing this week? I see from the Exercise post that there is something 'new'?
Jenni - I see you lost 4 lbs last week - that is sensational - you must be soooo pleased!!
Where is everyone else?

Jenny Beebop
Aug 31 2009, 11:52 AM
Goes back on the 14th Sept - but I am going to extend it by 2 weeks - which will take me up to after the 'run'! Wishing I had never started this now!! Can't get passed 2 miles!!!

Glad to have you with us Shona! So, on my count there are 4 Fresh Starts today.
After lunch ... how are we all doing on Day 1? I have had 14 out my 40cx. Going to my Mum's for tea tho and she always puts more food on my plate than on hers (she is doing SS too and she sabotages me so she can win!! - and she calls herself a Mother - I suppose she is only human!!)
I am going to get on the treadmill when I get Erin to bed (back of 8) and I am going to wear a Sweatz Vest - burn off extra calories. If you don't hear from me again I have reduced myself to a greasy spot and expired!
Anyone else hiding at the bottom of the screen wanting to jump back on the wagon and join us in a successful Day 1?

Well done Everyone - we are doing great today

Afternoon girls,
Sorry I've been awol, work has been manic and I spent all weekend doing panto set stuff which hasn't saved properly and the file has corrupted!!
I'm at the 'so tired I could cry stage' and just want to hibernate and eat... I've got Wednesday off this week but I can see me canceling it at this rate as I don't think I'll get everything done
My peping was brilliant until friday evening and then things all went a bit wrong... can I please join in with your fresh start?! I want a successful day one!!
I'll try and get on to catch up properly later or tomorrow... sorry not exactly being supportive at the moment
Take care all you lovely people and I'll be back soon (I hope!) xx
ainey
Aug 31 2009, 06:12 PM
Elle - sending you lots of hugs
I reckon i am about 4 or 5 checks over for today. Which in comparison with yesterday's eating is like night and day to be honest. Have also done 20 minutes on the wii fit.
How is everyone this evening?

Evening all
Another busy day at work for me.
Lovely to see a fair few wee posts on here and wonderful to see a few climbing back onto that PEP wagon.
Good luck, remember to take it one day at a time and soon those days will string together.
It's been day 2 of the Booster plan for me and so far so good. Have to say it will take me a while to get into this and I reckon I would be able to do it for 2 or 3 weeks- 4 at a push before I have to revert back to PEP. However it has made me realise already that I do eat far too many carbs.
Off now to fill in my food charts.
I have a gym session planned for tomorrow morning so need to get organised for that too.
Catch up tomorrow.

Hi
Please can I join your challenge?? I used to go to SS classes but then they were all cancelled in my area. I did lose over 2 stone with the PEP so I know it works for me!
I now weigh heavier than I have ever been (including when I was expecting my daughter) so need to seriously shift some excess baggage!
Hope to join you soon!

Hi Jenny
Thanks for the welcome! I got out my PEP plan last night and weighed myself - totally shocked at what the scales said.
I had a good day yesterday although I went out for lunch with a friend so was 10 checks over my daily allowance.
Last night I planned todays menu and have stuck to it so far. I had 2 weetabix for breakfast at 7am and then a pear at 11am. Am just about to tuck into a Tesco Lighter Choices sandwich and a WW choc mousse. Ive also got a bag of Kettle chips for this afternoon's snack. Not sure about this evening's meal as hubby cooks dinner!!
Do you know if there is an online food diary anywhere please?
Am looking forward to the challenge and hope to have lost a few pounds by the end of the month.
See you tomorrow!

Hello
Thank you so much for your replies.
New day - new start
Flick - i tend to write it down as i eat it (which is not the best to be honest)
So far have had porridge for breakfast, a banana. Potato Salad and chicken (as per SS). Got a yoghurt and a smoothie to drink.
Tea is going to be fish fingers, chips and peas. All counted.
i am just finding that i am obsessed with food. The least thing that is thrown at me and i will eat for scotland. Mind you i did walk along princes street this morning so that is a positive move.
Good luck Vicki - this is a lovely thread

It sounds like you are having a good day - keep going!!
I found that writing down what I ate a great help and I started a new food diary yesterday. It helps to have things planned as I struggle sometimes with finding things to have for lunch at work so need to keep looking for new ideas!
I know what you mean about eating when things get tough. I was diagnosed with depression after having my daughter in 2007 so used to eat everything in sight as I thought it would make me feel better, but it made me worse! I used to do a lot of craft work before my daughter came along and that used to keep my hands busy so that I couldn't keep eating in front of the TV!
I think the key is keeping yourself distracted from food and still being able to treat yourself sometimes.
Keep us posted!

Hey guys, sorry i'm not on as often as normal but am still sorting room out and my wn computer still isnt set up yet as still creating space in my new tiny room.
eating has been good and bad this week not expecting a brilliant resutl on the scales. have had quite a few crisps which i normally stay away from as i end up eating more than one packet at a time. but havent actually done that tooo often so thats good. really i dont think i have been too bad just not been counting. but went for a run yesterday. went up eater road from my new house and over abby hill and then down tot he bottom of the royal mile and just up to the bottom of arthurs seat then back. didn't run the whole way but did run a lot of it there and back and the whole thing took me 45 mins. didnt run to day as legs were sore but will do it again tomorrow and see if i can run a bit further and cut down on the walking.
but will dig out my diary that i have for uni and stuff and use it to write what i eat down starting from tomorrow. hopefull wont have put on as lost really well last week but really wont be suprised if i do as havent been playing the game really. but after tea tonight i will draw a line and start fresh tomorrow and write everything down and keep myself busy to stop eating.
i think i need to drink more tho as i stoped drinking as much as i hated going to the loo in the middle of the night (really annoyed me) but now that i drink less i seem to be hungry more!! so i think i need to find a balance with that.
anyway i am off an will be back later in week
hope yoru all well. your all doing really well with your fresh starts.
speak soon

Hi all
Day 3 not going too badly at the moment! Had weetabix this morning and a mini bag of choc buttons at 11am. Ive brought in my lunch from home which is a start - I usually go out to one of the nearby snack places or to our staff canteen but am now trying to save money as well as lose some lbs!
I went home with a headache yesterday from work so I don't think I had enough to eat during the afternoon

as the headache started around 4pm.
I have been filling in my food diary and I must say, I feel better already and its only day 3! I dont feel as bloated so that must be a good start!
Hope you all have a good afternoon.

Morning all
Well sorry to report I'm failing miserably with pep at the moment

have got a serious case of the munchies pre TOTM I'm actually hunting food down, I was in fridge all night last night, fingers in the peanut butter and nutella, finished off half a tub of pringles then oh yes I didn't stop there had 2 glasses of wine.

Woke up this morning totally hacked off at myself didn't go to exercise class yesterday either!!
HELP
I'm trying to get my pep head back on this morning, got another pot of free soup on just now (the kids ate most of the last one) and have had 1 boiled egg and 1 toast for breakfast. I'm off with hubby to clear my mums loft as she is getting it insulated so that should burn some calories. I will start afresh with my classes on Monday as hubby is off on holiday the rest of this week and we plan to take oor wee dug some good long walks, yes even in the pouring rain!!
You are all doing great on your fresh starts keep up the good work hope it rubs off on me too!
