Hey folks
After having a swizz around the forum recently, Ive noticed a few folk are in the same boat as me..... being stuck at the same weight despite seemingly sticking to PEP and exercising. I know its better than a gain, but ive been stuck on the same weight for over a month now!! So I was wondering if it would be useful for those that are also experiencing this to have a wee thread going on the forum and we can help each other out to try to see where we may be going on and hopefully can start to see a shift in the scales again?

Today I have kept (and will keep) to checks!! I've had:

Quacker cinnamon Porridge- 5 (first time ive have it and its gooooood!)
mullerlite yoghurt- EDB
Black coffee

apple and orange- EDB

Ham and Tomato Sandwich- 10
apple- 4
twix- 7

veg soup- free
another ham andtomato sandwhich- 10
baked crisps- 4

total of 40

Having a day off exercise as been to the gym 4 times this week and plan a long run tmrw

well it may not seem light I have eaten a lot today and I am not usually like this but I am going out for dinner tonight and I have a Halloween party tomorrow. I have already saved 20 checks but I am still trying to save more

Breakfast- muller light (edb) and a banana (edb)

Lunch- a slim a soup (2)
Snack a Jacks (4)

And thats all i've had, I usually eat a lot more than this but I am looking forward to my chinese tonight!

heloooo! ladies! i have come to join your merry band!

feeling v tired today so am v nervous about avoiding the friday night nibblys at my house! reckon if i have you to report back to it might help me on the straight and narrow a bit! have counted in a bgty raspberry cheesecake and a couple of breezers so hopefully i will feel like i am being treated and wont succumb to hubby's pringles and chocolate!

Sounds really stupid but itching to go to the gym or something tnite as i've been so used to it..... but want to do a long run tmrw so think the muscles need a rest!
However, staying in tnite and not eating rubbish is going to take all my will power i think!! got a big nite for halloween tmrw so a quiet one would be sensible!! will try to keep busy and have some free soup and jelly made up in preparation!!
have u's any exciting plans for the wkend?

well my friend just cancelled our dinner date so no chinese tonight! but on a plus side i can save more checks for the halloween party tomorrow, I might just have some pasta when I get home tonight xxx

How is everyone?? Its really warm again for the end of october!!

Well, i need to start with a confession...... last nite was a disaster (this is what happens when i stay in!).... and apple pie and special K were the victims y_whistle.gif y_scared.gif dry.gif confused.gif
Really annoyed at myself. To try to undo some of the badness, ive jst run for 1hr45min. so trying to convince myself that i wouldnt of been ableto have run it if i hadn't eaten so many carbs last nite y_whistle.gif

so today i'm trying to undo some of it, but going out tnite for halloween. However, usually find that going a run the same day as drinking means i dont need much alcohol til i'm merry! i will try not to eat while out too

I'm going to get my hair coloured this afternoon- considering going a bit darker. naturally mousey coloured and it has blonde highlioghts now. hmmmm. cant get it cut til thursday tho!

Hey all, hows it going?
Did you have a good halloween wkend?
Its a horrid day here, hasn't stopped raining! To be honest ive been inside most of the day nursing a bit of a hangover!
Not sure how it all works out check wise.... not ate much today but had too much yesterday. So propper pepping and exercise for the week ahead- got no more obstacles until next saturday so will try to be perfect!

Exercise plan:
Monday- Circuits and boxasize
Tuesday- Run
Wednesday- Spin and Circuits
Thurs- Run
Fri- Rest
Sat- Run
Sun- Rest

Food for Monday:
Cinamon porridge- 5
Mullerlite youhurt- EDB

Apple- EDB
Orange- EDB

Veg Soup- free
Ham and Tomato Sandwhich- 11

good morning ladies! dont know how successful this weekend was! nibbled a wee bit on cereal (thats my bug bear too sarah!) but tried ot count it all in! ran for an hour on saturday and 45mins yesterday followed by a weights workout in the evening - hopefully that will help!

plan for today!

29! wowee! heaps to play with and got tap tonight so not even in all evening!

Good luck guys! I'll be taking an interest as I keep hovering around the same weight for weeks now and I'm still nowhere near target.

Today is a new day though and my little food notebook is out and in my handbag! I can see why I've been struggling as I've not been writing in it or anything really lately!

i am currently on 40 a day. Got myself all tied up with only having 35 a day cause was trying to take into account all the nibbles i have so have gone back to class and started afresh, Trying really hard not to nibble and pick at things and therefore count more. Eventually hope to increase my checks cause I do so much exercise (a bit like you by the looks of it!) im sure i have slowed my metabolism right down and that is why i find it so hard to lose weight now!

I find it difficult sticking to checks too when exercising. Not really sure what my ideal target weight should be.... I'm doing ss on my own this time so not had advice from a cm. Im 5'3" and thought abt 9stone? what do you's recon?? should it be less?
just had lunch and feeling pretty full so all good!!

im so angry with myself! after all my careful planning and postive thinking i have done what i have always done and gone overboard with the cereal! counted it in and felt ok and then just popped into sainsburys, only for some juice, walked past the bakery counter and they had all those tasters on top of the counter, before i knew it massive bit of chocolate cup cake and cheese cake had disappeared into my mouth! have 5 checks left so will just use them but im so mad! why could'nt i just resist then i could have had a treat later and felt like i really deserved it

Are you sticking to 40 a day? I really think 35 is way too little especially if you are exercising as much!

Well Ive kept to plan today, just had tea and going to the gym later. Still have a banana to go but will have that once I'm home. Will need to make some more free soup tmrw as I've finished a batch today and find it a life saver!!

Hey!

Lost half a pound at WI tonight. I didn't really deserve anymore than that but it is still a little disappointing. So I'm aiming for 2 pounds before next Monday.

Got my alarm set for 6 so I can get to the gym before work. (Eek)

Saved 4.5 checks today so hope I can do that a couple more days this week and have a treat at the weekend!

How are you feeling today? Itsa minging day here...... doesnt look like the rain is going to stop and its really dull!
However, hopefully it wont put a dampner on my mood..... feeling good having a good day under my belt yesterday.

How did you get on at the gym this morning Carly..... itwould have taken motivation to get out a nice warm bed in this weather!!!

Dont think I'll get a run in today- weather is rubbish and roadsides will be soaking (theres no pavements where i run)...... however, found some fitness dvds last nite, so will give a the Davina one a try!

yup 35 is low hence why i am trying to up it and avoid nibbles so i can count properly! doesnt work all the time (actulaly most of the time, look at yesterday!) but i am trying so hard. I have put on about 4lb this year so would love to shift them before christmas! Tap was good thanks! Got step tonight, thats my favourite smile.gif thinking about tagging a push and lift class on the end but that makes it a pretty long day!

Morning all!

I threw myself out of bed at 6. (It was more of a drop and roll motion really) and was at the gym for 7. It was actually pretty good once I was there, it's not as busy as after work is so you can use which ever machines you want. Did 25mins cross trainer, 15 mins bike and 5 mins of arms weights. Think I'll go back tomorrow morning and go for a swim, I joined this gym in February because it had a pool and I've not used the thing once!!

Rain is meant to be on and off all day here and I've got to go out at lunch for CPD. Have taken a sandwich to eat beforehand so I don't eat the goodies on offer there. I've written down all my food for today, I've got 7 checks sitting spare out of todays allowance so if there's a biscuit I fancy when I'm there I'll be ok to have it and still have something left.

hey carly! just noticed you are in aberdeen! where do you work and what gym do you go to!?

im at ledingham chalmers on rose st and frequent the warehouse! morning workouts are good if you can make the habit of rolling and plopping out of bed!

met office says rain is supposed to be off by lunchtime fingers crossed!

Well done on the motivation carly..... it must feel great knowing that ur workout is all done and dusted before starting work!! dont really know how far i am from target,going to keep going till im happy with the weight and not be so concious about food. Lost over 2 stone and people are jst starting to notice so feeling better about myself already. would love to get below 9st jst to say ive been there, but due to exercise i dont know if ill have too much muscle to get there!

hope the rain is off soon!!

just see where your body settles sarah! im 5'7 and under 9 stone so if your body wants to it will get there! everyone is different smile.gif

Ermintrude I have forum paranoia (for no reason whatsoever) so just sent you a PM!!

I'm 5'10 and I would like to be 11 stone or (at a very big push) 10 and a half. 11 stone is my target weight and I've got 2 stone to go! But I'll get there, I had hoped to be almost there by now but I sort of fell by the wayside the last couple months.

I think the rain is off... xx

carrot and onion sounds nice! have your tried the new cauliflower and cumin one in the new low check no check? its lovely!

i have weighed myself out more cereal and had a toffee (just one!) so feeling nice and in control. Tuesday night is traditiionally pizza night in our house which is always difficult, i have my little 8 check ww one and Hubby has something delicious slathered in pepperoni! at least a big bite always ends up in my mouth! grrr why cant i be more self disciplined!

just step tonight now, no push and lift, my sis has decided to come round for tea so will have to buzz quickly home!

Sarah I'm glad it's not just me!!

Ermintrude what's push and lift? It sounds painful but something I should be doing!

Wolfed my sandwich down and then ran down to CPD. Did not eat any biscuits or cakes and I have a Time Out finger sitting in my desk that I didn't eat this morning together with 1 chocolate eclair sweet. These are my treats for this afternoon. My mum phoned and offered me pizza later but I'm having a home made rocket mozzarella and parma ham one from one of the PEP books!xx

nice going C! we will be losing again in no time!

Push and Lift is like body pump? an all over weights work out - i love it! kerry is such a great teacher (she does the step too)- puts together the best cd's for the workouts - the hours fly by, it does'nt even feel like you are working out!

Ah. I quite fancied a step class but it's only on mid morning at Nuffield. Annoying that they think only the unemployed or flexible workers want to step. I'm building up to Body Pump - the class is always rammed. I went to L,B and T one night and as soon as we were finished the pump people were piling through the door! They used to do an intro class so you could learn about the equipment but they don't do it anymore. I like Body Combat, although I always think I should look really cool doing all the moves when in reality I look in the mirror and look a proper idiot!

Honestly Erm, if 2 pounds don't come off me for next week and I've been PEP perfect you'll be hearing my screams!! (Sarah you'll probably be able to hear them too!!) xx

good morning ladies! weigh in at lunchtime eek! i have been so good this week please heavenly weight god please just let me get a loss!! went back to class a month today so would love to make it worthwhile!

have had my brekkie so am going to try and not let anything else pass my lips until weigh in!

step was awesome last night smile.gif such a good class! did it at 3am a couple of weeks ago for a breast cancer fundraiser -that was amazing!

Am loving it when it's chilly but sunny like it is today - so nice for walking to work in!

Saved 1 check yesterday for the Wispa Gold I've got stashed away for Saturday so I'm doing ok.

i am absolutely gutted! i put on half a lb. I have stuck rigidily to 40 checks for 1 month and am exactly the same as i was when i started! i dont know what to do! carry on at 40? increase a little bit?

i feel like i have done this to myself for eating so little for the past few years but am really upset! all i want to lose is 4lb how hard should that be!

she is no help! said that i should'nt be losing anymore weight and there was a queue behind me so I didn't really want to get into it with her! my original target was 6 years ago before i started exercising. When i started to run the weight just fell off so now I feel like my original target is massive on me!

going to try and play with the wendi plan, see if that helps smile.gif defo not giving up!

AAAwwww Ermi, i can feel ur frustration. perhaps have week off exercise but stick to 40cx? that could be an equivalent of increasing cx? or maybe you are light enough, what are you aiming to get to?

Well done Carly for the early morning gym sessions! were you up with the birds this morning?

Sorry for not getting on yday, had a hectic wee day so didnt get onto scales either! however, jst off them and have lost a wee lb, so now 9.3.6st. hopefully it will stay off! was late home last nite so didnt made spin but got to circuits. will either run or do a dvd at lunch time.

Morning ladies!

Where do i begin sarah and Caroline!! I did get to my orginal target about 6 years ago but then i started exercising and running and lost another stone (! I know it sounds like a lot..) anyway sat v comfortably at that for a few years and have put on about 4lb this year which is what im trying to shift now. I am happy at the weight i am but just worried that if i put on anymore i wont be happy, so what with christmas coming up and all i thought if i lose a few lb it will give me a bit of leeway for putting on a couple over the impending festivities and not beating myself up about it - does that make sense? plus with me being such a determined soul and all i cant believe im am just staying the same even though i am trying so hard! while that would make some folks go off the rails it makes me even more determined to shift them!

going to up to 42 this week and see if i can kick start my metabolism!

haddock, veg and rice 11

35 - leaves 7 to go! And am going on nice run tonight! (or if v wet at home time will go to fitzone class at gym)

Morning ladies!

We went to see Eddie Izzard last night so it was a bit of a late one. For the sake of my sleeping habits I stayed in bed again!! Although tonight I can get an early night and be up at 6 again tomorrow. The only exercise I'm planning today is a bit of a power walk to the fireworks and back. Which is really about my 10,000 steps for the day on it's own so will be ok.

Saved another 2 checks last night so I'm feeling ok about things. I'm really hoping my body looks at this as a "first week" all over again and gives me a good loss on Monday!!

Got a bit of a headache the last 2 days, probably my body having a hissy fit at my sugar withdrawls!!

Erm, give higher checks a go for a few weeks and see what that does. It perhaps is that you're body just isn't sure what's going on?

Sarah options are awesome! have one everynight between tea time and bed! the chocolate mocha one is my fave at the moment but can only get it in morrisons sad.gif

I missed 2 sentences in the first half and ended up totally confused for the next 10minutes!! Someone proposed on the Twitter screens before the start - I need to know if they said yes!! (Because I'm soppy like that!)

I'm on the chocolate eclair sweets again today as my treat. I suck them until all the chocolate is gone which takes ages, much better that way though! xx
