Hi everyone, sorry I've not been posting for a few days. My cold got worse and started affecting my asthma and I've been trying to rest as much as possible. The cold is better now but it will be a while before my asthma settles.
Despite eating whatever I wanted and not writing anything down since Wednesday, I have managed to lose a pound.
Jemima, I saw your post on your CM being ill. We can count this week as a break and you can report your loss next week (unless you want to go to Boots or somewhere and get weighed there but it could be different).

Good Morning Everyone!
Bookhunter...how are you feeling now? There's so much going round just now.
I joined David Lloyd last week and went to 4 classes - 2 x body pump and 2 x body combat. I wouldn't normally do 4 in a week but I wanted to push myself a bit and get my membership off to a great start. Boy am I glad I did...
3.2lbs off for me this week!!!
I'm aiming for another 5.5lbs in the next 5 weeks, which would take me under 13st. I've not been 12st something for a long long time!
Have a great week everyone!

Chickadee that's fab!! Well done you!
Bookhunter, I hope you're feeling better.
I'll go to WI just before lunch. I'm not expecting miracles, got a cold, hurt my knee so haven't been able to exercise and have horrormones. (getting the excuses in now) at least the upside is I'll get a good result next weeek instead!
Will be back later! Xx

Half a pound on for me. But it could've been much worse. If I had gone back above 13st I would've been really upset! So next week will be a really good result.
Good luck everyone! xx

I have been attending a different slimming club recently, but have decided nothing beats SS, so rejoining my local SS class tomorrow. I haven't been able to get my head round the other EP, played havoc with my IBS & Colitis........
Anyway, I shall post my 1st weight loss next thursday, if that's ok?
Have a good week
Nickie

I was feeling better but I went for for my flu jabs on Wednesday and the side effects are cold symptoms and temperature (and my arm is still quite painful). It's better than getting swine flu and risking a secondary infection though.
I will be back on tomorrow to catch up.

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been absent over the last few days (or weeks for that matter!). I had kick started myself this week but then had some very sad news too. Got a call from one of my "Chemo Girls" (there are a few of us who had breast cancer at the same time and went through treatment together who still keep in touch and go out 3/4 times a year to catch up) to say that, sadly, unbeknown to us, one of our group has died. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 weeks ago and was undergoing a small op for her liver but suffered internal bleeding and died a few days afterwards. Only found out on Thursday and her funeral was on Friday. Almost in the same breath, I was then told that another of us has had a re-occurance in her other breast and will be having her surgery early next month. Whilst I am know I am exceedingly lucky to be cancer-free at this time, reminded of my own mortality is sometimes a little hard to take.
Although I've not been good over the last few weeks, I am no heavier now than I was when I came back from my holidays in August. So, although I've fluctuated 6lbs in the time - I can still see the positives of my achievements so far. This is the start of a new week.

I was about to call it a day with SS for a while as I am up to my eyes in work and have just let the whole thing float along without really counting or making an effort. I have another STS which could be worse and after reading your posts and seeing how you are all plodding on despite health issues , I will forget leaving the team and put my a**e into gear for next week.

Excellent. We all have bad days and weeks but if you keep coming back to it, we will get there in the end.
