Afternoon All

Well its that time of year when we need to think about xmas party frocks and exposing more flesh than most of us are comfortable with.....so to make it a bit less traumatic a cover tan normally helps.

I do prefer a sun bed glow but my brain has taken control and convinced the rest of me that there is no point in dieting and exercising and leading a healthy lifestyle to then go and lie on a sunbed for nothing more than vanity.

But I need your help, which are the best, and the least streak prone and where do you buy from.....its has to be a DIY one though, I cant stand the though of someone else applying to my saggy bits y_shock.gif

Thanks peeps

Holiday skin - it's gradual so it doesn't streak and it moisturises too. You can also get a firming one. I've got oil of Ulay for my face which is good too and you can put it on for a couple of days before so you don't have to mess about on the day.

I use fake bake or sometimes st tropez, i would recomment getting a fake tan mitt to apply with- much easier!! x

oh ive tried loads, but my favourite at the mo is the amber solaire spray tan, its a nice colour, and although you spray it on, you still need to rub it in to be sure you get the best coverage

oops i only posted this review to show you what it looks like, but the review has totally slated it lol anyway i think it depends on your skin which is why ive suggested trying a few out. i also think my skin gets used to them, and also they look different depending what kinda natural tan you have, im so white in winter laugh.gif

the dove one is good too

why dont you try a few leading up to christmas, i usually put it on on a thurs so it looks more naturally by saturday xx

Miss B...I'm really fair skinned and in the summer I found the St Tropez Everyday products. I used the body and the face one and found them both fantastic. Easy to use as they are just like a moisturiser and no streaking at all with a natural looking tan over a couple of days. I bought the products in Superdrug as I found them much cheaper than anywhere else. Both the Face and the Body come in light/med and med/dark depending on how dark you want to go.

I have used Johnson's Holiday Skin in the past but much preferred the St Tropez products.

Hope you find a self-tan product you like 2thumbs.gif

Hi Miss B

I really like the Dove one. I've used Fake Bake and St Tropez but really do find that the Dove one gives the nicest result with the minimum of fuss!!

Good luck

i love fake bake!

I had heard from a number of people that Fake Bake is really good. Had a bad experience with Fake tan a few years ago so have never used any again. If I do then I'll just be brave and pay someone to apply it. Miss Broxi don't be scared of getting someone to apply it for you - the way I look at it is that they will always have seen someone worse than me so it won't matter. xx

Thanks Everyone

Well after all that the dress I have bought is gorgeous, flattering and I'll be pretty much covered up so I dont think I'll need the fake tan after all 2thumbs.gif

I think for next time I might plump for Fake Bake though, meant to look at it in Debenhams and forgot tbh.....doh!

Have tried loads and I like Loreal Nutrisummer best this year - not streaky. Good for legs

I bought a St Tropez special one for legs in duty free this year - what a total waste of money.
