Full Version: What Kind Of Bread Do You All Eat?
Scottish Slimmers > Positive Eating > Inspired ideas and new recipes
hello sir
I cannot function in the morning without my 2 bits of toast, preferabbly brown! Ive been using Nimble or WW as its lower cals (2 checks per slice) howecer, its rubbish for toasting. when u spread anything on it all cracks and comes apart as it goes dry and brittle. iv tried turning the toaster down but then it turns into hot bread as opposed to toasted, theres no happy medium!

So, I wondered what kind everyone else uses, and if anyone else has the same problem as me?

Thanks xx
lila

Lindsay-Dawn, I'm the opposite to yourself. I just LOVE the ww bread for toast. ( the malted is my fav )

Take your low fat ( y_innocent.gif ) spread out the fridge 5 mins before and put it on lightly, it should be fine.

Very very occasionally I treat myself to the warburtons bread.......... y_evil.gif

WW Wholemeal is great for toasting, 5 checks for 2 slices.

I eat that Best of Both or 50/50 one depending on the dates when I go to the shops. I always make sure I get medium sliced as it's just over 3 checks per slice as opposed to over 4 for the thick slices. I put a very thin layer of low fat spread on the top (much less than the portion size suggested on the labels) so I don't feel it to be too bad in the scheme of things.xx

Gotta be 50/50 one without the crusts. Only 2 checks a slice and fills you up.
