Evening all
Well done Audrey on feeding the peanuts to the birds...way to go!!
Meg...I'm sure the clothes you bought will soon be loose on you and of course it would be lovely to put a face to your name
Jaci...you have every reason to a proud auntie...your nephew has done brilliantly!

It's great to hear about teens being away of what they are eating and following a healthier lifestyle!
Carol...that's great that your daughter is going to Curves with you, I'm sure she will really enjoy it!
I will see my youngest cousin tomorrow who is 13 in Feb, I haven't seen him since earlier in the year (before he started secondary after the summer) and my mum said she got a shock when she saw him yesterday as he is now really skinny and quiet gaunt in the face...he was never fat but he had a big head and because of this looked bigger than he was....I just hope he hasn't been bullied at school and is now choosing to not eat as his mum was saying they are struggling to get him to eat at mealtimes... I'm going to ask if he wants to go bowling on Sunday and we could go for something to eat after and see how he is doing...he might open up to me
We are going to my mum and dad's tomorrow for some fireworks...my mum is making lasagne and steak pie & I'll have a wee bit of the lasagne with some salad
As of Friday, I am back on the pep proper and as the gym is open, we will be going there in the afternoon!
I've added my weigh day to the charts and I will be weighing in on a Saturday morning.
Thank you for doing the charts Jaci....the food one is brilliant!

Evening ladies
Good to see the post so busy
I've not been too bad over the festive period as i've worked most of it so that has kept me from going OTT.
I even took the box of thorntons toffee I got for xmas into work so my work colleagues could eat it
Well another hectic day at work so glad i'm off for next 2 days
Can't wait to get back to class and have a slimmer 2010

Morning All
Wishing you all a very Happy Hogmanay.......tomorrow will be 2010. How crazy is that????
Russ and I were chatting yest about how we celebrated the Millenium and how it only felt like yesterday. We didn't even know each other then. We met in Feb 2000 and here we are now 10 years on, married, mortgaged and little monkey in tow - what a difference a decade makes
So what has the last decade meant for you????
Russ has the doc at 9.40 so we will see what they say, I am still knackered. Mack woke up at 6.00am this morning, which is perfectly acceptable and normal but I actually cried as I carried him downstairs - I'm just so tired. Had a coffee and feel fine now, I am just being silly I know but the thought of staying up til the wee small hours and then getting up at the crack of dawn is not a good one.
Northernstar - Fireworks sound fab, I love watching them, hope its not snowing for you. Although that would be very pretty. We used to go to my Mum and Dad on hogmanay (before wee Mack came along) and Mum made haggis, tatties and neeps for after the bells....Mmmmmm. Thank goodness thats one less temptation. Although I have bought a fab cheese board for tonight, cheese is a bit of a weakness so I'm planning to make some free soup today and make the most of my EDB so I can enjoy it guilt free. Good luck with your nephew too, its a worry isn't it. Fingers crossed you can put your mind at rest.
Meg - pics would be fab. Jen has set up a Musketeers file in the gallery, maybe you could add to that. I think Jen was hoping we would add before and after pics so help us put names to faces and to share our success.
Shona - great work with the sweets - definitely my plan for the big tin of foxes biccies we got - sabotage everyone elses diet plans but secure my own. Mwahhh ha ha
Hope you enjoy your couple of days off too - sounds like you definitely deserve it. Hope Steven and the boys will be spoiling you.
Back later x

Morning!
Just a quick post as I'm off to the gym. I'm just now having a think of all that has happened and all I've accomplished the past decade
Hope everyone has a lovely day, I'll be back later to properly set up my Musketeer links and picture and everything

Good morning!
Been a busy few days for me - work has been super busy, so much for the 'holiday' season. Been in a 7am every day to get things done... long weekend coming up though and then I'm back in the office for 2 days and then I'm off for a week and a half
My Aunty has been taken back into hospital again as she has had another heart attack although it wasn't as severe as the last two it is still a little scary. At least my Mum is coping a little better this time round.
I've not been peping properly but hoping the damage won't be too bad and I'll weigh in a normal on Saturday.
Audrey and Shona well done on getting rid of the naughies!
Meg, those clothes will soon be too big!
And photos would be great - would be lovely to put names to faces since I missed the last meet!
Can't believe it is the end of a decade - think I'm definitely ending it better that I started it!
Over the last 10 year I have:
Finished uni, got a 'proper job', been made redundant twice, lost grandparents and other family members, bought a house
, lost 10 stone, gone back to uni as a distance learning student and completed a post graduate course in medical illustration
, got a job doing something I love
, met my lovely fiance
and next year I'll be a married woman in my 30s - how did that happen!
I suppose I should go and get on with some work while I wait for folks to come back with changes
Will be back later xx

Morning Fellow Musketeers
Just a quick visit with a question about photos, I have one in my own SS gallery that I would like to add to the Musketeers "album" anyone any idea how I do that?
My poor car WAS all clear of snow this morning as a slight thaw happened over night
not any more, it is snowing like the dickens now, and so dark, we have the lights on

Morning all. I have been playing too with the settings. trying to add the links but I cannot change the names for some reason! i think i have managed to add a profile pic this is the test

I love the support everyone gives each other on here. Everyone has something that is challenging and it is great to have somewhere to vent it and get some support back.
The last 10years have been quick I think and interesting.
2000 my daughters were 15 and 13 now they are both 25 and 23 in Jan 2010! how did that happen?
My older daughter went through a rough time (for all) between 16 and 19 or 20. but is now married and has my gorgeous grandson who is 22 months old and doing fine.
the younger daughter has had her ups and downs 9( which as a mum they always affect you dont they?) and is now training to be a nurse as well. She struggles with her weight but it is difficult you cant do it for them.
I have been a nurse since 1979 and have completed a BSc in the last three years. The goal posts change all the time.
My weight is the one constant ----up or down depends on the year
However this year I am determined to end 2010 at target
Well must go and get organised. Night shift tonight for 3 lovely!!!!!!!!! A/E at its best....

I'm finishing work a 3.30 today and then its a quick jaunt into town to pick up some bits, visit my Aunty and then off to the in-laws. Then steak pie (a new year's law I think) there on New Years day and then my folks for nibbles in the evening
I'll say - 'happy New Year' now as I'll not be back on again until Saturday probably.
May 2010 be a happy and healthy one for you all!
Take care everyone xx

Good Morning Lovely Musketeers
Well New Year, new challenges - lets get the job done!
Hope you all had a great night last night and are having a longer lie than I got this morning - maybe some of you are still up partying?
Well I pigged out a bit last night, I had planned well during the day but have suffered with indigestion during the night - serves me right
I didn't manage any exercise yesterday but did get back to bed for a few hours in the afternoon so felt human again last night
.
Dinner at Mums today and I MUST fit in my BL Wii or exercise bike today. I am expecting a wee gain on the scales tomorrow so would be DELIGHTED if I could pull a STS.
Here's to friends - old and new, near and far, through losses and gains and those pesky stay the sames.
Support and encouragement, butt kicks and bootcamps - wherever you are, whatever you do - Musketeers are here for you.

Good afternoon Musketeers
Happy New Year (and new decade) to you all.
I have a great feeling about 2010. I have had a sneaky peak on scales and I am still managing to sts. I haven't been eating perfectly, but not going overboard either, like I usually do, I usually gain at least 7lbs over the festive period. I am dragging my butt to Curves as soon as it re-opens and aim to go at least 3 times a week, haven't felt so positive in a long time. Losing 4lbs will take me into a new stone bracket so I am ready to give it my all, getting started is the hardest bit for me. I think I will go back to weighing in on a Saturday and will make tomorrow my "starting weight" day.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing today.
So nice to see the thread buzzing already - well done to you all!!!

Afternoon all!
Happy new year everyone! I hope that 2010 is the year you all fulfil your hopes and dreams!
Am on fine form today. My chest finally seems to be getting better. My left leg and my arms are quite sore from throwing myself down the stairs yesterday (bloody stupidity) and I'm hopingI can get back to the gym on Sunday. It's been far too long since I did some proper exercise so I'm really desperate to get back to it. I'm scared of the scales next week without any exercise!
Today I threw away my comfy slightly too big work trousers. I had better be able to fit into my others in the next couple of weeks now!!
Have a great day everyone!xx

OMG - what a day.....the drama continues.
Russ was doubled up in agony this morning from 8.30am - 2.00pm, he was so distressed. We tried loads of different things but after another call to NHS24 I ended up having to take him back to hospital. We were due at my parents for New Years day dinner at 2pm.
After some waiting about and some test they have diagnosed kidney stones - another unrelated illness on top of the virus. Not a good start to the year. We finally made it back to Mum and had some dinner, got home about 7pm. Babe has been bathed and is in bed now.
I have had a bath and am now snuggled in jammies and heading to my bed after Easties. Glad I did my bike this morning, never got anywhere near the BL game today - try again tomorrow
Weigh in day tomorrow - not holding out much hope at all

Good Morning Peppers!
Today is a new start for me ... as Laura said it is what happens from today that matters. I have put the last few weeks behind me. I have been looking into GI diet stuff to see if that will help with my migraines and I have agreed with Laura and Julie to give Booster a bash so ... watch this space! Don't think I will get back in the swing of the exercise for another few days but anything active is better than I have done since the beginning of December!
Together we are going to lose some weight this year Peppers. I see there are quite a few people to join the Saturdays now ... (

Morning All
Well a much better start to the day today. I was in bed sound asleep by 9pm last night and got up at 10.00 this morning. Mack slept until 8am (ungeard of!) and Russ is feeling much better, still has niggles but painkillers are keeping it at bay.
Weigh in for me and I am SUPER DELIGHTED to report a 1lb loss
very pleased with that. I got my BL game set up yesterday so planning to get stuck in when Mack has his sleep this afternoon. In-laws coming this evening for a take-away and a catch up, well weather dependant - its blowing a blizzard just now.
Well done on the positivitly folks its brilliant.
Julie- love the resolution, we will hold you to that! Mine is to stop swearing so anyone I speak to or meet up with please keep me in check
Carol - OMG how exciting!!!! I totally love weddings so feel free to share all the wedding chat and good luck with Operation Wedding Dress
Audrey - I bet shovelling snow burns loads of calories and gives a great all over work out, think of the squats and lunges you would do without even realising.
Laura - hope you are feeling better soon, and well done on the STS - great ahievement this time of year. I have started binning the goodies too - all the pringles and nuts from hogmanay are gone - far too easy to just pick at.
Jen - welcome back Mrs - your chat has been missed. Good luck with the Boostering, I have never done it so will be interested to see what you think.
Lila - just thinking, we have not actually had a first foot yet - anyone feeling extra lucky - pop in for a cuppa lol.
I wonder when the new cx book is going on sale online - I read somewhere Kylie saying she had them to sell in class after the hols.....hmmmm.
Right off to update charts with my loss - yay!

Morning Musketeers - would it be ok if I joined you all for the new 2010 challenge?? I have emailed Jaci
I'll be on for a proper catch up tonight but brief introduction -
Im Lindsey, Im 23 and from Perth but recently moved up to Ellon. I graduated in July 2008 with a degree in Law and Business, joined the Tesco graduate scheme in September 2008 and now I am a deputy manager in Ellon store. I've been engaged to Kev for 2 years and getting married in April (112 days time!!!) and we're going on Honeymoon to Canada in May
We own a house in Newburgh but have had to rent it out to move up to Ellon so we are now landlords aswell!! I first joined SS 5 years ago
but have been playing at it for those 5 years, im a typical yo-yo dieter and now weigh my heaviest weight ever (thats no reflection on PEP as I know it works if you do it properly!) but Im determined that 2010 WILL be the year I get to target! Im not going to be anywhere near my target by the wedding but I can be a damn sight lighter than I am now!
Hope you all have a great day xxx

Well done Ainey, getting back on track, and back to exercise. I am just about to get going on the BL game so will report back soon.
Wish me luck x
Good afternoon everyone, wow, this thread is fab, so much to catch up on - keep it up folks, love reading what you're all up to.
Well, I bit the bullet this morning, stood on scales for my "Start Weight" and pleased to say I have managed to sts over the festive period.....I am absolutely delighted. Total lost in 2009 was 9lbs, but I will do better this year, aiming for 1lb a week, any more is a bonus!!
I have a party to go to today, but I had a long lie today so didn't have brekkie until 12.30pm so if I am careful then I should be ok for checks.
Heading to Curves asap, hoping it is open on Monday, will be the 1st time in about 3 weeks since I have been, but I am really looking forward to getting back into it, I usually dread going after a break.
Hope you all have a great Saturday, off to fill in my tracker then go and get showered and dressed!!
See ya all soon.......xxx

Hi All
Update from me - BL Wii game is great. Really enjoyed it and felt I had a good workout. Sweated loads.
There are lots of different levels and timed work outs to choose from. I did an hour on the challenging level and felt I worked as hard as I would have at some gym classes.
Great to see folks starting to use the trackers as well - stick in xx
