Last week I was blissfully lazy.... a couple of days I only got out of my PJs for a quick shower before climbing into fresh PJs and heading off for a lie down...
This week I am off work again and I want to get ready for a fresh start for the new year ahead. I need to get my house in order (literally) so that when I go back to work on 4th January I will be all set up to manage my paid work, my college work, and to get down to taking care of myself with a healthy diet and (dare I say it?)... some regular exercise.
So, one day at a time, I am going to get myself ready. Today I am going to tackle some laundry (lots of it!) and make a start on sorting out my study.
Anyone want to join me in a count down to the New Year.....?

Glasgow tomorrow but light lunch and dinner hopefully.
Can't see me counting on Hogmonay or New Years Day - bu hopefully back on track on Saturday!!!!! Few false starts this year & even tried coming back on here but have put back on the little weight I'd lost.
Problem is, only class in evening which I can't manage!

Back to work tomorrow but out to friends tomorrow night- being good Wednesday then entertaining New Year's Eve and New Year's Day so realistically will not get back on it till 4th but tree will come down on the 2nd and I will probably weigh on that day and will try to be as good as I can over that weekend in readiness for the Monday.
Just realised I have just over 9 weeks to San Francisco - better get started!!!

I'd love to have a fresh start Friday but we have family coming for a wee New Year's party on Friday night and it's hubby's birthday tomorrow. Do I
A) Fresh start tomorrow, avoid hubby's birthday cake and all my party food and alcohol on Friday night
or

Fresh start on Saturday...which will end up being Monday!
Actually, I'm kind of scunnered with food just now so I might just start again tomorrow. I went to my gym for a program to be made up tonight and actuallt felt really motivated and raring to go. Let's see how I feel tomorrow morning!

I'm all prepared for Friday.
If i am going to do this i need to have some structure, i can't get to class, for two reasons, it would mean two trips into town on one day and two, at the moment i just can't afford it.
i'm also making a pledge that 2010 i will go to all of my training sessions, unless its a cold or my left foot has fallen off, i'm going!
Its not just my diet i need to take care of, i need to become more active, i tend to use the excuse that i do 4 and a half hours training over 2 nights, its not really working is it! I've become so lazy since we got the ugly car!
Ladies and gents, we can make 2010 our year

Hey Gin
I am a newbie here but had to respond to your post.
I would highly recommend a personal coach

I have a fantastic girl who has now become a friend but for the hour a week she is training me she motivates, encourages, praises and SHOUTS at me lol Over the past 6 months I have been eating everything that has gotton in my way hence the shameful weight gain but I have still been going to the gym and I now go running - yes - running at 40!!
I am looking forward to eating well in SS and training with kamila cause the two work perfectly together - just need to avoid the maltesers lol
Take care
