Morning everyone.

A fairly sedate New Year at my mum and dads, ended up coming into Forres sooner than i had planned yesterday, the snow was falling that heavy and thick i thought i might get stuck!

So, i promised that i would be back at the pep on the first and i'm sticking to my guns! Just had 2 slices of mother pride bread toast, omg, i forgot how good it was toasted!

2010 will indeed be our year, i'm starting it feeling positive and i mean to carry on that way! And i'll be making good use of the forum and this thread too, i can hear those corks popping!

We went to my folks last night for our tea (which wasn't ready until after 9pm!!) but it was awfy fine....lasagne or steak pie with veggies and creamed tatties followed by Christmas pud or nigella's chocolate mousse or fruit salad with cream, ice cream or brandy butter!! (Note I didn't eat everything that was on offer!) As the weather was dodgy, Keith drove last night so I got to have a wee drink too!!

We were home just after midnight, after my dad had tried to set off some fireworks which wasn't happening due to the snow falling!!!

I had a long lie today which was fine....got up and made 2 soups (lentil for me as I liquidise my soups and tattie soup for himself!)...having steak, baked spud and veg for tea I went to Morrisons and Asda yesterday morning for shopping and got some right food bargains...

I'm not back to counting checks today but am making healthier choices...back to planning, counting and writing it all down from tomorrow!

This year is going to our year for popping the champagne corks ladies...I can feel it too!!

Happy New Year Champers hope you've all had a lovely time!

Managed to fall down my stairs yesterday (before I'd even been near the booze!) luckily I didn't hit my head but my goodness do my legs and arms hurt today!!

Both of us have still quite chesty coughs(although I think mine is finally getting better!) but we still went to the stage door for dinner. I was good - I ended up having the veggie options!! Then we went to the ceilidh at the Forum.O/h was dead on his feet though so we ended up leaving not long before midnight. We saw all our friends though which was nice and the band were really good. Am definitely going to enquire about them for the wedding.

We made it home just before 12 and just before it started snowing which was good. Despite my earlier fall I was wearing impossible shoes for the pavements (I just never learn!)

Have thrown some stuff out today already! Am all about the organisation this year, so I thought I might as well start today. My slightly too big work trousers have been thrown out so I better get myself into those smaller ones in the next couple of weeks or else everyone will be thinking I've no work clothes!

Staying in today I think, am aiming for a gym return on Sunday so I'll be taking good care of myself until then.

Well at's the roast beef and roast tatties [done in goose fat ] lemon and ginger cheesecake polished it off now the vino to wash it down.

Too much snow claire, we've had a very windy night with sleety showers!
Came downstairs and found a course of anitibiotics on kitchen worktop for the youngest...so ran upstairs [he came hame 03.45] to find out why!!!![always the worst thought!] A trip to A & E the stupid plonker had lost the butterfly to his earring that he'd gotten about 3 weeks ago had become dislodged and embedded itself so he'd to get that removed!! and the poor little diddums complained he'd to wait more than an hour -- I would say on a friday night esp at new year he was dammed lucky!! Can you feel my sympathy BTW I've been the one working all week and am up and the holiday makers are still in there kip
Think I'll take the deccies down today..............

We had a great day yesterday went to the golf club cheilidh from 1 till about 5.30 there was a roup of ten of us and one of the girls invited us all back to her house so got home at 11 pm, I am fine today although a bit tired, Kenny on the other hand is very hungover !

We had a wee wander into the town this afternoon before having a spot of lunch in The Old Schoolhouse...he is working tonight so I have taken all the deccies and cards down and now the living room looks really bare as I've also found homes for most of the Christmas pressies...not sure where I'm going to put the docking sound bar I got though....! A bunch of flowers will be bought tomorrow as the living room looks kinda bare now!

Although I didn't make good choices today, I am well within checks!

Sitting watching "The Holiday" which I recorded the other day (there's nowt else on the telly tonight!) with a can of diet pepsi...roll on tomorrow for day 2! Planning a trip to the gym and a spot of meal planning for the beginning of the week tomorrow

Ona...our cat is much better thank you and back to his usual self!

I had a homeopathy review appointment the other day and the homeopath wants to change the treatment she gave me as the treatment she gave me has not had clear results. I'm going to be sent drops in the post to take daily which I should notice a difference with. I've to email her 2 weeks after starting the treatment to let her know how I'm getting on and I'm meeting her again mid February...fingers crossed the treatment works this time!!

Anyways, the basic gist was that my left leg and sometimes my arms are still quite stiff but I haven't got any bruises yet (which I'll be honest I'm a bit disappointed by!)

I've still got a cough but I can take a big breath without my lungs feeling like they're going to explode so I must be getting better.

Parents came round earlier so I tried to get them listening about some wedding stuff. I think it probably went in one ear and out the other though...

Getting a weeeee bit suspicious about the homeopath Nicky [hiya]

Morning everyone

We just spent an hour digging the car out of the drive, we had to dig in last, to only get a wee bit up the drive, we cleared some of the snow at the bottom to make it a wee bit easier to get in, everytime the snow plough comes in he pushes more into the drive, i could have a rant but whats the point!!

Well, two days left of the hols, not sure what we have planned, just glad Andrews on holiday foor 2 days, aslong as he doesn't suggest a trip to Ikea.

I've been half heartedly pepping the past two days, good thing i spent the 1st and yesterday at my parents and Kims, i'd have just sat at home and eaten otherwise!

Carly, hope the aches and pains are on the mend

Nicky, i am dreading taking down the deccies, think i'll be like you and get some flowers, always looks so bare!

Cleared snow once again this morning then went to Tesco the store was very, very, quiet expected it to be a lot busier than it was Don't think people realised they were open from 6am Bought a good selection of veggies, I'm guilty, IN THE PAST, of not having my 5 a day so, trying hard to change that Just need to make a start with the exercise, OH back to work tomorrow, so I am going to get the Wii dusted off

In past Asda on way home and got in a wee healthy shop to last me a couple of days-plenty fruit/veg and some WW meals for work.
Also treated myself to Wii fit plus and "my personal coach" ,really need to up my exercise,as I am convinced it helped me on my way to target last time.Really want to get into all my clothes again as hardly have anything that fits ,or if it does it looks drab.
Anyhow ,great to see the positivity on here,this is our year,think I might just have my mojo back!

Enjoyed afternoon at chums, fine catch up only a neighbour in as her family didnt come in from oldmeldrum Today had a nice long lie then blitzed house. I then cleared car but decided on a walk to Woodside instead. Met my neighbour who walked up road with me and invited me in for my new year

Decided not to go to Mums until weekend, would have been a different matter if had no one but has carers in 4 times a day, so they will take in little odds and ends she needs as they are always in the village shop anyway. Do kinda feel guilty leaving them to look after Mum but then they are out and about for others anyway.

Think maybe have a trip to town tomorrow - getting too used to being lazy

Hello Girls

Today has been a bad choice eating day!!

Started off well with my oats so simple, then I did my ironing and cleaned kitchen and bathroom while Kenny was clearing snow.

Then we decided to try the pictures again via mcdonalds for lunch I had cheeseburger and chips all counted

Went to pictures and got in to see Nine it was really good with fab singing and dance bits came out and discovered Avator was just away to start so we went to see it as well it was good maybe just a bit long but the 3d effects are very good

Came out at 7.20 and Kenny said lets have something to eat here since its the last night of my holidays ( any excuse ! ) we went to Chiquitos and I ordered a chicken fajita sandwich and chips didn't eat the bun only the chicken breast with the peppers and onions and the chips of course I have counted it all and according to my calculations i'm just one check over which is fine but it feels like i've eaten rubbish all day!!!

Ona how does champagne cocktails sound??

Di know how you feel about the clothes but we'll get it sorted

Skippy are you at home or out at your neighbours ?? hope work is fine tomorrow

Skippy I just saw your other thread - you are a genius getting your hubby to agree to that! We have 2 of those pots - one for silver and pound coins and the other for coppers. We're supposed to put in at least 20p everytime we spend some money but it never works out that way! Everyone has not long left from the DJ Hero excitement so we've just put the spare change left lying from the chinese in the pot. We better be rich soon(!)

Starting to feel a bit more human today but don't think I will WI until Wednesday. I doubt I'd get a good result tomorrow.

Flat is almost spotless. It practically feels like we don't live here!!

Going to go to the gym and do some fast walking on the treadmill tomorrow - give my body a chance to start working again without pushing myself too much. My lungs are definitely getting better but it'll take a little while to get back to full fitness.

Morning Ladies

It was like a child's first day at school with the OH this morning he starts at RAF Kinloss today, same job, just different place, but had to make sure he had all his "bits and pieces" with him, pens, folder, mobile, ID badge, packed lunch (PEP friendly, of course ) he even had new boots to put on as I said, just like a big kid

According to the weather map last night, we are supposed to be getting more snow wonder if it will bad for Friday, Mum has a hospital appointment in "The Toon", might take the train, then taxi to Woodend, don't think I'll chance
