Where does the weekend go!?

We were at the wedding exhibition for 3 hours yesterday. We watched the fashion show - I wasn't impressed. Spoke to loads of photographers so now I'm just confused. Hopefully we'll be able to decide soon!

Ordered a new dyson today as our hoover is rubbish. Got to wait a couple weeks for it though but I can put up with henry hoover for a bit longer.

Been to the gym todaya, my legs are aching! I have been hearing a lot about interval training on the radio and in magazines in the last couple of weeks so I did an interval programme on the bike. I hope the pain I'm currently in means it works! It's scary how unfit I have gotten after taking a month off from regular exercise!

I'm feeling a bity deflated just now (wish it was weightwise deflated!)...hopefully I'll pick myself back up again soon...I had a really good day eating wise yesterday and am planning today will go the same way...although I'm going to Pizza Express for my tea as my mum and I are going to HMT to see Pride and Prejudice. They now have the nutrional values on their website so fingers crossed I make a reasonable choice...although I'm just having a mug of hm veggie soup for lunch and a yoghurt so have plenty checks to play with!

Carly....the wedding photography sector is so competitive these days and I think it's about finding someone who you really connect with as you want to feel comfortable on your big day I usually help out my aunt on her stationery stand at the YWE (she was there this year) but I chose not to this year (putting me first for a change and not saying the obligatory yes!) I was going to go for a nosey on Sunday but we went to the Ferryhill House for tea with my folks...lovely!

Well kitchen and bathroom all planned. Picked very pale beach units with long silver handles, with a black marble effect worktops - they have a speckle of grey through them, with laminate effect flooring. Bathroom I sticking with a bath with an OTB shower - still enjoy a soak in bath. For the panelling just picked a kind of pearlised white so can work any colour accessories in. Can buy own paint nearer time once decided otherwise kitchen will be magnolia and bathroom white.

Now schduled for May - suppose the weather will be nicer by then (hopefully) and the light nights will be here.
The lady did say it would be a bl**dy nightmare and for the 1st week or so would come home to a house resembling a bomb site canna wait lol.

Not been about much - feeling a bit hormonally challenged this week and not really feeling up to much.

My ears keep popping today - stupid sinuses! Hoping this is just the last of my cold coming out. Have a mouth ulcer as well which is just the icing on the cake!

Was at the nurse on monday, I'm 3kg lighter than this time last year which is good. Shame it's not more though!

Lost half a pound today. Not amazing but like I said I'm hormonally challenged so it's probably going to even out next week.

Anyways, will try and pop back later when I'm a bit more with it! xx

Keeping fingers crossed for the weather in May Ona when we got the windows replaced in the council house we used to live in, it was done in April and it snowed Wrist isn't so sore today, but then again, I haven't lifted anything heavy yet

Day flew by today learning something new on computer today how to do charts and graphs for QA man coming so brain hurts
Was worried about Smudge during work in house as they cant guarantee doors not opening so getting to take her to work, she will be safe under my desk in her carrier and I can let her out at lunch times in 2nd ladies loo to see if she needs to use her tray.
Mum did offer to pay for her to go to cattery for up to 4 weeks but dont think she would cope and i would miss her too much as well

I am in a bit of a quandry. We went to see a flat tonight, everything about it is perfect apart from the fact it's an open plan kitchen/living room. So it's at the top of our budget but it's absolutely beautiful and now after all my moaning I'm in love with an open plan flat!! Think we're going to note our interest and have a think. I don't think it's big enough to put a partition up to segregate it but the bedrooms are fab and the bathrooms are fab as well so I'm just unsure as to what to do!!

Carly dont think i would like open plan living/kitchen but know a lot of modern places are designed that way, I suppose on the plus side it would be more sociable when you had people round but the negitive for me would be the cooking smells good luck with deciding

Ona great news on having the kitchen and bathroom chosen and I'm sure Smudge will enjoy being the work pet for a while

hormonally challenged like carly and am like a raging bull

had trainining in factory and out of the corner of my eyes could see members of my team having a newsy ( basically putting products in bag dead slow and stop while laughing and giggling)

one of my visitors is a factory manager and i was embarrassed that the shenanigans didnt stop while he was walking around!!

gonna grab them at 9 and read them the riot act and tomorrow have a pop at supervisors as they shouldnt be letting it happen!!

so basically i am fit to burst!!! hopefully they will leave early enough for me to head to gym

havent been all week so in at 7.30 brain frazzled till 5!!!! and no lunch break!!!

Carly, my brother has open-plan and i thought it'd be weird. But as Dawn said, it's much more sociable when people are visiting. If i could now choose open-plan, i'd def go for it. You're right to consider it either way!! x

See we sort of have open plan just now and I've coped with it. The ideal is for a separate kitchen but then at the same time this flat is perfect in every other way so I'm silly to dismiss it. We're going to note our interest and we know how much we'd be willing to pay. They'd had 8 viewings and it had only gone on ASPC that day so it's probably going to go way over valuation. I possibly could put up a wall of some kind further down the line. But right now we don't have kids and they're not in the present plan so this could be a brilliant first home for us. We'll probably end up putting an offer in but I'm not getting into a bidding war over it. If it's not meant to be ours then there's nothing we can really do about it and we'll find something else!

Skippy - just let the rage out, you'll feel much better! (I'm like a TOTM devil on your shoulder today!) They shouldn't have been messing about when managers were there anyway! xx

Sorry not been on much.Went out for a couple of drinks with a mate who's over from the States this week,he comes over to see his folks about once a year and tries to "squeeze" us in to his busy schedule of relatives,etc.Did Dave the world of good reminiscing about the days when we were younger,we did some pretty daft things!Was good to see him laughing.
Still not back to pepping but aiming for next week.
Have had a pretty stressful few days and work is so understaffed at the moment to just about tip me over the edge,got a bit emotional yesterday morning.
Have now just found out that Dave's brother,who has learnning difficulties and stays in supported accomodation, has been admitted to the renal ward ,tried phoning to get info but staffy busy so will go up in the morning and see what's happening,probably don't know much yet anyway.A bitty worried as he was admitted due to blood results and being a renal nurse I know the implications this could have-things going round my head at the moment,sometimes ignorance is bliss right enough!It has not been a good start to 2010 for us,surely it can only get better.
Anyhow, Carly- go with your gut feeling about the house.
Ona -all the upheaval will be worth it.

Flat is just down the road from where we are just now, maybe 10mins walk at most. Closing wasn't confirmed and we're going back tomorrow for another look so I'm going to try and get some more info and maybe just chance my luck. (Nothing ventured as my boss said to me when I asked him about it the other day!)

Had a few mojitos last night (and some pizza and chocolate cake) was a fab night out. Went to the gym today - was a good workout and then I went on a bit of a mad living room cleaning spree so I've fairly burned the calories today! xx

Bit of a busy day, been doing wedding stuff today and haven't had a chance to go to the gym today. Will be up at 6 tomorrow though, I MUST make more of an effort. Measured out some haribo and pretzels into 4 check bags each so I just grab a bag if I want a snack so at least I'm getting organised.

Went back to the flat for a 2nd viewing. Was a bit cheeky and asked how much they wanted - lets just say I think they're being a bit optimistic! Will be keeping an eye out for other things to come up - I don't think it's worth stretching ourselves over.
