Bookhunter
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.

Many of us will be expecting a little gain or a sts after the festivities. This is to be expected unless you have iron willpower. Let's decide to draw a line in the sand and do what we can to get back on track.

Your mission for this week is 3 things. For anyone who hasn't done this before, this is where, at the end of the day, you post 3 things you have done that day to help you stay on target. These should be little things (e.g. going for a walk, buying yourself a fruit salad as a treat or having an aromatherapy bath).

Good luck everyone and don't forget to post your results.

Nice work Bookhunter - glad to see the thread is back. I know I'm expecting a gain this week however I'll be back pushing myself as of tomorrow.

Everyone, lets put in some good effort and be able to see some great results next week!xx
Judenbob
Well "Hello!" everyone and I hope you all had a richt guid new year!! Just back from celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary at Dunkeld House - very nice!! Now, down to business. I'm more than just a little disappointed that my class is not on tonight - have taken the plunge to go back to class having done the last 6 months online. Sandy, are you snowed in??
Safaa
2thumbs.gif hello there everyone happy new year, well i am in with my 3 rules challenge and the team challenge i cant go wrong really one compliment the other, all the best every one fand take care 2thumbs.gif
Bookhunter
Judenbob, glad you enjoyed your break.

Having breakfast at home really makes a difference. I added up after tea and I'd only had 20 checks! I need to add more in.

Three things for today

  1. Went to the gym - no more excuses about not wanting to carry everything in the snow (the way it's going, it may be here a while).
  2. Went to Holland and Barret for oat biscuits - these are filling and portion sized so I don't feel like grabbing something else 10 minutes later.
  3. Wrote everything down, even the quality street
Safaa
2thumbs.gif hey there well done bookhunter in writing everything down that is the way to go, and very well done in going to the gym too, i have had a good day at work today did my tuna salad and had it with ryvita and had a half of choc biscuit, all counted in, and watched everyone finishing the biscuits the thing is i really did not crave any choc or biscuits today, i think we have thro all the christmas stuff at work now!!!! hope every one is doing well take care every one 2thumbs.gif
Judenbob
Went to class today (sorry Sandy - maybe see you next week!) for the first time in 18 months. I will, however, need to get myself organised. confused.gif

I am very pleased as I have lost most of what I put on at Christmas so I've only put on half a pound.

I left early because of the snow, chose the wrong bus stop in town (the buses at that stop were running fine but mine stopped in the interchange for 15 minutes) so got to work late. I had my hot oat cereal at break. The boiler had broken so I was glad to have something hot.

I am not looking forward to tomorrow as it's going to freeze overnight.

I have eaten the last few interesting biscuits tonight so apart from the mint chocolates mum didn't want (which are great 1 at a time with after dinner coffee) - all the Christmas stuff is gone.
Bookhunter
Fantastic, Fergie!

I have gained 2.5 lbs over the holiday fortnight. Back to the grind stone today. Day 1 of good pepping. Good luck everyone else.
Bookhunter
Well done on such a small gain, woody. Try not to think of it as a grindstone but more as returning to good habits.

I had breakfast at Caffe Nero today. I left even earlier because of the snow and then started having an asthma attack on the bus. I had a skinny latte and a bacon panini which warmed me up before I went out to wait for the next bus. I still have 3 checks left though. No gym today but I did walk up the hill to Tesco Express to get some shopping.
Calibali

I was 3 pounds on this week y_whistle.gif I can only hope this is going to melt off with the snow when it finally leaves! xx
elle
Evening folks,

Hope I'm all set for WI tomorrow - aiming for a loss after a rather large gain over christmas y_whistle.gif

My three things for today are:

1. Making some free soup for the freezer
2. Writing everything down, even if it is no-check
3. Session of the wii active

Well done on all the tiny gains - not easy at this time of year! 2thumbs.gif

Be back tomorrow to report in
x
elle
Pleased to report 4lbs off for me today!! 2thumbs.gif
Bookhunter
Fantastic, Elle. You are doing really well.

Calibali, you are here are and getting back on track so don't worry if your result this week wasn't what you hoped - look forward to next week instead.

Jemima, sorry your class hasn't reopened yet.

Carly, I'd put on 3 lbs when I weighed after Christmas and it vanished without a lot of effort so hopefully you'll be the same.

I am struggling to eat enough this week. I think I'm so used to having lots of treats that I don't have enough "proper" food. Even yesterday when I had tiger loaf sandwiches for breakfast and break I was still under. As it was Friday I had a few treats (I never though I'd see the day when 3 chocolates were more than enough). We are having corned beef hash for tea which is quite low check (I know because we were going to have it on Thursday and then I wrote it down for Friday instead - Mum went shopping and got a fresh chicken and lean mince for bolognese pie).
diana
Hello team

I completely forgot to get weighed this morning so will hop on the scales first thing tomorrow.. I like to get weighed first thing naked as it seems more accurate .
I am finally ready to get pepping again though to be honest sick to death of hearing about peoples dieting attempts and having it pushed at me on the TV and even through my letter box ( invitations to join SW and WW ) Oh , I forgot the e mails too. I love to come here to talk pep but like to keep it to myself outside ..

I will post my W.I. result on Sunday though as before. I will follow Saffas 3 Rs and hopefully find time to pop on here every day and give you all as much support as I can too.
nikchick
I'm starting tomorrow as my sister has been staying and we've been out for lunch etc. However, the good thing is i've found myself naturally turning away from the worst things and trying to only eat if i'm hungry this week so i'm hopeful I can get back on track.
Will step on the scales tomorrow for the first time since the 4th of November so goodness knows what they'll say but i'll just accept it and tell myself i won't see that number again. Onwards and downwards.
Hope everyone is doing ok after the first week back of PEPing

Nikki
Bookhunter
diana, good luck for tomorrow morning.

Nikki, I really admire your attitude.

It's Sunday afternoon and I haven't eaten any chocolate. I think after Christmas I've stopped wanting things as much. I've decided not to go the the gym tomorrow but to wait until Wednesday (we should get the last of the snow tonight - I hope so anyway).
diana
I finally have the first pep day under my belt and I usually find that is enough to kick start a long run .. I am up and running again 2thumbs.gif
diana
Good evening team. I said I would try to pop on every day and help you all along the way. Ihave done ok again on day 2 . At break times today, i had a pack of SS cookies so had 2 in the morning and 3 at afternon break. Just that littl treat was enough to go with the drink
fergie
Not good just back from class 2lb on.....ooops

First day of PEPing has gone well. I got all the books out this morning and read through it all to make sure I still remember it and how many checks I should be having.
I'm very active in my job now as well so that's bound to help. I've been on my feet all day.
6 more days like this and the scales should be a nice sight next Monday
Hope everyone else is hanging in there

Nikki
Bookhunter
diana, that sounds lovely. I keep thinking I should buy some more.

Fergie, good luck for this week.

Nikki, that's one reason I like my job. In some ways it's quite monotonous but I kept to move around a lot and run downstairs with their post and every little helps.

I am completely fed up of the snow now. There are no Tesco delivery slots until the end of the week and although we can get the basics from Tesco Express I only have a spoonful of granulated sweetener left (which I'm saving for if I have hot oat cereal for lunch). I got some M & S Frosties to keep me going.

We are expecting more snow tonight and clouds for the rest of the week so none of it will melt.
jemima
hi , my class was on, hooray and i lost 3.5 woo hoooo.

me's VERY happy 2thumbs.gif good luck everyone.

lots of love from xjemx 2thumbs.gif

Hello. Pleased to report I lost 7lb this week. Absolutely delighted. Well done to everyone who is losing as there are still a lot of christmas chocs lying about.

I even looked at a drink of fresh orange today and thought is this worth the calories. I am totally in the zone just now. Long may it last.

Good luck to everyone still getting wi.

Judenbob
Looks like we have a lot of positive spirit in the team!! 2thumbs.gif Well done everyone on all the losses! I managed to clock up a 2lb loss after Christmas smile.gif Onwards and downwards.....
Bookhunter
Jemima, glad your class was back on. Excellent loss.

Yvonne, that's fabulous! Half a stone in one week!

Judenbob, well done.

Fantastic Loss!!

You're a wee star!!!!! 2thumbs.gif
diana
I forgot to say that I weighed in on Monday and seem to have put 6lbs on over about 5 weeks of Christmas.. I fully deserved it and enjoyed it but not too worried as it will take me less time to take it off than it did to put on .. I expect it will take 2 weeks if I go at it full on..
Day 3 over and I feel I am on a good run now.

Jemima , Yvonne and judenbob.... well done on those brilliant losses.
There are some positive vibes here now.. 2thumbs.gif
Nikchick , you sound as if you are well on the pep waggon too

Bookhunter..hpe you dont get too much more snow.. I was amazed to see all the online delivery slots taken.

[color="#0000ff"]I have found some lovely ready meals that are raw but you cook to just pop in the oven when I get home from work..I like the roasting veg too .a godsend for me as there are just the 2 of us a lot of the time and I am in my danger zone time ..
