Carla, I was asking people the very same just before xmas (not on here tho) but i got a lot of negative feedback. People said it was a bit cliquey (that spelt right, haha) and that they felt "ignored" as you were left to get on with it yourself. Can't say from experience tho, that was just the personal opinions of who i'd asked, but it put me off wanting to join......... shucks.gif
Think it's around £34 a mth, though don't quote me!! x
ANNE.
I tried it a couple of years ago, loved it at first, but got a bit bored after a while,I think i paid £28 a month then, another problem was our curves closed from 1.30 til 3pm..I finished work at 1.30 on a dayshift so it wouldve been ideal for me if it had been open..(.instead of opening at 3pm just as the school was getting out confused.gif )
I left curves(after 12months,was tied into a contract for 12 instalments)and joined our council Gym,(AcessNL.) much better value,£25 a month(discounted due to NHS work)entitled me to use of all sports centres in North Lanarkshire, including fully equipted Gyms/swimming pools/all keep fit classes, and a slimming class..
I think curves is very good when you havent exercised for a long time, its a good place to start, its a pity they have a joining fee and 12 month contract tho.

Not sure how much classes are here Carla, but they're about £3-£4 on average, per activity. Depending on how often you want to go to classes/gym, it might be worth getting a membership (the one that covers Bells, the Rodney, swimmies etc) as it could save you money in the long-term if you go quite a bit!! Do you have your LIVE ACTIVE card? If not, you'll need one, i think butterfly.gif x

I was a member in Perth, it went well for a couple of months and then I found it too boring and repetitive. My problem area is around my midriff and I found that it just didn't work in that area. Gave up my contract after the year and am now doing pilates which I love.
