Scottish Cranachan (Serves 2)
200g Strawberries (halved or sliced) & Raspberries = 2
200g plain fromage frais = 4
40g oats (toasted until golden brown) = 6
1 dtsp granulated sweetner = 0
Total: 6 Checks each (if using EDB 3 checks!)
Take 2 wine glasses (approx 200ml) in each, place in the bottom a few halved strawberries and some raspberries, pour over 1 tbsp of the fromage frais (mixed with sweetner), then on top of that sprinkle some of the toasted oats. Repeat the layers, leaving aside 2 strawberry halves and approx 2 tbsp of fromage frais. Hopefully you should have enough for at least 2 full repeats, finishing with the oats (this depends on size and shape of wine glass!) to finish off spoon over the last tspn of fromage frais on each and finish by place half a strawberry on top, you can garnish with a mint leaf if your feeling a bit adventurous! You will have 2 yummy desserts than can be used if having dinner parties etc, or just a special night in with your OH J
For added flavour, a spoonful of honey can be added to the fromage frais in place of the sweetner but just remember to add in the checks. OR you could use a 200g pot vanilla muller light.
