Good morning again everyone!

And welcome to our Online Class.

Last week, we had an amazing 25lbs loss between us, one STS (me) and no gains.

Special mentions this week are:

Pete - Lost a remarkable 5lbs and has lost stones overall - Brilliant!

Singing mum - Lost 2lbs making that a stone altogether -  Amazing!

Abbys mum  - Lost 4lbs, like singing mum making that a stone lost altogether - Fantastic!

**** WELL DONE TO THEM ****

Also not forgetting people like Ewitka and Scotchmist who are consistently losing weight and Shirls who is back on track again and all others who have made a loss no matter how small.

                        *****************

Now onto my little talk today which will be about TREATS and how to deal with them, especially with Easter coming up.

I don't think that we should deprive ourselves of them altogether, but like anything else they are best in moderation.

A medium Easter egg has about 10 checks per half shell. (Check on side of box, to make sure what yours has). I would ration out an Easter egg over a few days. If you don't think you can control yourself and would have to eat it all, might be best to avoid eating one altogether.

Finding a balance between eating healthily with food such as fruit and veg which we know are good for us and allowing ourselves the occasional treat without feeling guilty about it, is what the SS plan is all about.

So go on enjoy Easter, but eat sensibly and try to keep to your checks and the scales will be kind to you next week.

Let us know what your favourite treats are and remember that they don't always have to be food, a lovely soak in the bath or doing your nails or wearing your favourite perfume can all lift our spirits and make us feel good about ourselves.

Till next week, HAPPY PEPPING and KEEP POSTING! x

My favourite treat at the moment is my chocolate biscuit. Its the only 'bad' food I allow myself everyday, but I have one biscuit at 5 checks everyday after my evening meal - I suppose its like my little pudding or dessert!! If I am getting close to a certain time of the month, I plan in advance and save a few checks before hand everyday, so that when that time comes, I can have an extra chocolate bar or something. But I wouldnt call this a treat - I'd call it essential, essential for the sake of my marriage and sanity if I dont get my chocolate fix at that particular time! You know what I am saying ladies! smile.gif

Yes, I know what you mean Rosie!  laugh.gif . My favourite treat would be a soak in the bath and anything sweet. I'm not that fussy. Try and count it in my checks though! x

thanks for running the class Catrina. I was so pleased to get my stone last week, thanks for special mention! I seem to have stayed the same this week. I was 12 st 12, and every variation up to 12 st 13 this morning so I've decided to go with the heavier weight which makes me a stay the same. Was hoping for 3 lbs next week. Am back on plan tomorrow. Little boy's birthday on easter monday and his party on friday so keeping fingers crossed I can show restraint at party food. There will be plenty mum's there I'm hoping to keep eating the leftovers for me! I'm hoping for an easter egg and I will eat it all, but will count it in, even if eat in one go and have to pay for it all week. Maybe when it actually happens I'll just have a wee bit every day, but I'm definately having one if I'm given it! In fact instead of party bag full of stuff the kids at the party (he's going to be 3) are getting party bag with bit cake and a balloon, then an easter egg to take home. Idea stolen from another mum with easter birthday son. thank goodness for tesco 97p each egg offer!

A STS is better than a gain, thats what I always say anyway. I was a STS last week, but I am more determined than ever to get a loss this week and keep up with everyone else!

Go easy on your easter egg! If its a small one you'd probably be ok to eat it all in one go, but if its a medium or even a large one, I wouldn't recommend it. You'll be sorry when the scales go up and you've undone all that good work. Just my thoughts anyway.

Hope your little boy enjoys his birthday and you can have strong willpower to resist all these snacks. A good idea would be to not have your dinner and count about 15-20 checks for nibbling at a few of them. For example, if you had a few little triangle sandwiches, that would probably be about 10 checks, a little handful of crisps, say 5 and maybe a little sausage roll thats 5, (rough guess, you could find out).

Remember SS motto "Fail to prepare and prepare to fail".

GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY! X

Sorry to hear this Liz, but don't worry. Hope you get well again. Take care, Catrina. x

2thumbs.gif  I've lost 3lbs this week! Really chuffed with this as my weight STS last week. Whoooo oooo!!!! x

P.S. Come on everyone else, don't be shy record your weight loss/STS/gains here, it really does help you keep on the "straight and narrow". Even if you have put on or STS, you'll get the encouragement you need to lose it for next week. x

just back from class 1/2lb on but not complaining as I have been laid up all week with bad back and popping pain killers. Back starting to ease off ever so slightly. Hubby thought it was the Zumba and I had to miss the class this week. But have to say that when doing the exercises it was not hurting at all but I had moved my desk at work and for the last three weeks been sitting with my back to a draughty window so have got the desk moved back as I think that it where the problems are stemming from.

Hopefully feel better for next week just two days at work and them off for holidays for a few days so looking forward to that and all my birthday pressies lol.

Was wondering whether to treat myself to a wii but dont know if it would just be a fad and I would just have it sitting gathering dust. Is it worth it what do you think.

Hi Liz, glad you're feeling a bit better now and thanks for reporting in, even if it is a wee gain, I'm sure it'll be off by next week.  biggrin.gif .

Personally, I don't have a WII but lots of others on this site do and they love it. There is a disc for dancing, so if you've got the money I think you should go for it! A nice Easter pressie to yourself.

Thats good you got your desk moved away from the draughty window. I think that could well have been a factor for your sore back.

Enjoy your holidays when you get them and happy pepping for next week.

Take care. Luv, Catrina. x

Don't worry Lynne. Put this week behind you and start again. You can get a loss for next week, I know that you can. Luv, Catrina. x

P.S. And thanks for reporting in anyway. It take a lot more courage sometimes when we have put on, know matter how small.
