 Hello folks and welcome to your sixth Online Class from me.



I would just like to start by saying we had a great loss of 14 and a quarter pounds this week and only one gain of 3 pounds and one STS. So well done to everyone who participated and a special welcome to our two new ladies, who are Suzianne from my home town Dundee who lost 2lbs and Chunky monkey who kicked off in style with losing an amazing 3lbs! 2thumbs.gif .



Well today I thought I'd talk to you about home-made dips. I made one at the weekend and it was lovely. I had a few bags of ready salted crisps spare and thought I'd try making a Salsa one to share with my teenage son, whilst watching "Run Fat Boy Run", (hilarious, by the way). If you would like the recipes check out page 79 of the new SS PEP Complete book. I didn't have chillies in so I used a teaspoon of hot chilli powder. As I didn't have any fresh herbs either, I used a teaspoon of dried herbs Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano. Also, added a tablespoon of tomato ketchup and a couple of tablespoons of Splenda, ("check free" sugar alternative) and didn't put in the lemon juice. Lastly, I put a tin of chopped tomatoes, (could use fresh if have), half an onion, a few cloves of garlic into the blender and gave it a whizz. Lovely. lipsmacking.gif .



If anyone has any recipes for dips they'd like to share, then feel free to tell us.



Well GOOD LUCK for this week folks and now the weather is being kinder to us we should all try and get out more. Remember walking is the best form of exercise for us and if we've dogs, we've the perfect reason to go out and enjoy a walk. Even if we've not, we can try and walk a bit more, even just to the shops instead of taking the car. Little changes make a BIG difference.

i love to make mint dip and it can count as ebf if you have'nt had your diary!

250 ml or so of low fat natural yogurt
Bag of fresh mint(generous hand full), you can use jar mint if thats all you have.
1 generous tblsp of splenda type sweetner.

Blitz mint with food processor then add a little yogurt and pulse to mix in mint. Add the rest of yogurt and stir and sweeten to taste.

Not into Dips

This week was funny

Sneaky peak at scales friday night and it was STS

Weigh in last night 4lb loss

I put this down to 4 days at Gym this week and lots of fluid lost yesterday during day,so i guess the water sits in side for a while

4 more lbs and my dad pays me £200 for loosing 3 stone,so bring it on !!

hi all 0.5lb on but dont feel too bad as last week I weighed in am and this week pm so 0.5lb is OK although a loss would have been better.

hi isit ok for me to join in on this?
I went to class last night half hearted but got on the scales and lost 2.5lb i just have to lose 1.5lb and i stop paying and then have 7 lb to lose to get back to target think i may have found my motivation again.
As for recipes ther is one on the forum for paprika chicken all the family had it on saturday and it was delish that good i could have eaten the plate!

Not a happy bunny today +2lbs on y_scared.gif Not sure what's went wrong!! had a couple of extra glasses of wine at the weekend but would not have thought 2lbs worth. I have been feeling stronger and have been walking every second night, so now very disheartened!! Measured myself and have lost 1/2" from my waist so that helps. Any advice??

As Tray says, keep going simmyhx. It could be water retention, as just before your periods most people won't lose any weight. If you don't think its this then sometimes going over your checks just the once or twice in the week is enough to tip the scales. Don't worry. Keep up with the walking and 1/2 inch from your waist is a marvellous result. Think of the bigger picture, this is just a blip. It will pass and in no time you will be back to losing again. Put on a pound and a half this week.  confused.gif  . Not good I know, but we all have "bad weeks" and this was mine. My mistake was to buy crisps in yesterday and munch through far too many in the one day. After losing a couple of pounds last week, I feel that I have taken a step back, but I have to keep going. As I said to simmyhx, we have to see the bigger picture and I will hopefully have lost this by next week.Fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone else though. x

Apologies all round for the lack of posting results etc! My excuse is----I forgot! Possibly something to do with the fact that instead of weighing myself on one specific day in "Boots", I now use my wii fit on a daily basis as I reckon it's more accurate. My weight now is 11 st 9 lbs - and although I didn't post my weight then, it was 11st 11.5lbs

Half a pound on for me v. p'd off but what can you do. Makes its worse that I was boostering too!! Not sure what my body is doing at the moment. But, I drawn a line under and have moved on.

Welcome to my world - this is how I have been feeling the last few weeks - working hard and for no results, its different if you know you did something wrong - I'd take that on the chin, but simmyhx, I can totally symathise and all I can say is back to basics, write everything down, plan the week out, maybe it will even out next week? Just draw a line under it and dont dwell on, nothing positive comes out of negative thinking.

it's not deserved, but i'm 1lb lighter! Making a new determined push starting today, new note pad and pen at the ready!!!

i'm very pleased to report a 4lb loss this week, after putting on 2lbs in the last 3weeks i'm really chuffed even better that its taken me to just over my 1st stone, 14.5lbs i'm a very happy lady today 2thumbs.gif 2thumbs.gif
