Good morning folks and welcome to yet another Online Class. I hope this finds you all well and raring to go for another good pepping week ahead!  biggrin.gif .

I will start by telling you of our amazing loss from last week of just over 2 STONES!!!! Incredible! Well done everyone! Keep it up!

We had a small gain of 4 lbs and no STS.

Kateyboo is the trophy winner of the week, with losing a few pounds, making her total loss of over a STONE!!! Well done you! winner.gif .

Melanies, Ewitka and Audrey all had fantastic loss results as well, so well done girls!  2thumbs.gif   2thumbs.gif   2thumbs.gif .

Right ok, now on for this weeks "talk". I thought I would "talk" about a few things today.

Firstly, takeaways. How you can make your own a lot cheaper and healthier than buying/getting them in. I made a lovely piece of fish in breadcrumbs at the weekend with a few home-made chips and it was delicious!  lipsmacking.gif .

There are recipies for curries out of the PEP complete book and think how good it feels when we know that we haven't blown all our checks on a calorific curry from the supermarket or the indians/chinese.

Next, alcohol - enjoy a drink, but like everything else moderation is the key.

Sweeties/biscuits and crisps - my advice would be only get them in if you can resist temptation and not eat too many, or if you can't or find it difficult to and have to get them in for your kids/husband it is a good idea to put them on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard, so you have to think twice before eating them!

Diet fizzy juice - although low in calories can still rot your teeth. Try and have occasionally.

Fruit and veg - eat more if you can and choose a variety to stop the boredom.

Exercise - doesn't have to mean spending loads of time at the gym, keeping active can burn those calories just as well. Doing the housework, gardening, taking the dog for a walk, washing the car, windows, ironing e.t.c. can help your weight loss and keeps your metabolism ticking along nicely.

If your weight loss is slowing down however, don't become despondent. If you're a woman it could be water retention if you are due your periods. Also, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you've been working hard exercising and don't lose anything it could be this - DON'T GIVE UP!!!

Now, its over to you. Lets be stepping on these scales and giving us your results. And welcome to any newbies, we're all happy to have you join us...

GOOD LUCK FOLKS! X  1983.gif

Ignore your wii fit scale - mine is 4lb out - seriously. I have to set it to take away 4lbs in order to make it accurate.

Hi Folks!

I am STS this week. Not too worried as I was so unwell last week I was eating a funny mixture of stuff. I left my digital scales in school and am using my old fashioned ones and they are a bit hit or miss. Only marked in 2lb intervals so makes it a bit hard to tell!! Might invest in a cheap set of digital ones.

Have a good week everyone 2thumbs.gif

Ok, thanks Mel for reporting in. Hope you manage to get digital scales soon, they really are more accurate aren't they? x

2thumbs.gif  Well done Tracy!! Thats a fantastic loss!! You'll soon be at your target weight again and am proud that you stuck at it despite having a wee sneaky look at the scales earlier on and seeing a wee gain. Onwards and downwards from now on then eh? (with regards to weight that is!). Take care, Catrina. x

2thumbs.gif  Well done Pete!! Is that just 5lbs you need to lose now and you'll be at target weight? You don't need to lose that much more I'm guessing with that photo you put in not so long ago. Take care. x

That would take me down to 16 stone (was 21.1) y_woot.gif
TBH i am not too fussed about the weight, more the size if you know what i mean

Down from a W48 trouser to W42 and chest is down from 52-48 and collor down from 18.5 to 17

My true target is W40 and no man boobs lol,so if that means loosing more weight then thats what it will take
rebelsue2

You'll almost be at your waist measurement then Pete smile.gif . I don't know about the man boob situation, hopefully that will be reduced when you lose the last few pounds and tone up at the gym with weights. Good luck, you're doing great! x

P.S. I could say something about you men all worrying about your size, but I'm not going to lower the tone of the SS site!!! laugh.gif
