I will start by telling you of our amazing loss from last week of just over 2 STONES!!!! Incredible! Well done everyone! Keep it up!
We had a small gain of 4 lbs and no STS.
Kateyboo is the trophy winner of the week, with losing a few pounds, making her total loss of over a STONE!!! Well done you!
Melanies, Ewitka and Audrey all had fantastic loss results as well, so well done girls!
Right ok, now on for this weeks "talk". I thought I would "talk" about a few things today.
Firstly, takeaways. How you can make your own a lot cheaper and healthier than buying/getting them in. I made a lovely piece of fish in breadcrumbs at the weekend with a few home-made chips and it was delicious!
There are recipies for curries out of the PEP complete book and think how good it feels when we know that we haven't blown all our checks on a calorific curry from the supermarket or the indians/chinese.
Next, alcohol - enjoy a drink, but like everything else moderation is the key.
Sweeties/biscuits and crisps - my advice would be only get them in if you can resist temptation and not eat too many, or if you can't or find it difficult to and have to get them in for your kids/husband it is a good idea to put them on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard, so you have to think twice before eating them!
Diet fizzy juice - although low in calories can still rot your teeth. Try and have occasionally.
Fruit and veg - eat more if you can and choose a variety to stop the boredom.
Exercise - doesn't have to mean spending loads of time at the gym, keeping active can burn those calories just as well. Doing the housework, gardening, taking the dog for a walk, washing the car, windows, ironing e.t.c. can help your weight loss and keeps your metabolism ticking along nicely.
If your weight loss is slowing down however, don't become despondent. If you're a woman it could be water retention if you are due your periods. Also, remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so if you've been working hard exercising and don't lose anything it could be this - DON'T GIVE UP!!!
Now, its over to you. Lets be stepping on these scales and giving us your results. And welcome to any newbies, we're all happy to have you join us...
GOOD LUCK FOLKS! X
