I've started this wee thread for myself to try and motivate me to come on here more and also track my progress.

I'm trying to get back on plan - it's been a helluva year (or 2 shucks.gif ) where I've seen all my weight (and a few lbs more) slowly pile back on. So despite so many "fresh" starts over the past year or so this is it. Health issues and stress have played a major part in gaining my weight. Today is the day when I'm going to seriously start PEPPING again. I am not letting this continue. I'm the only one that can change how I feel and if I start looking after myself again then maybe, just maybe everything else will take care of itself.

It's so difficult getting to class at the moment - every time I rejoin I end up missing a few weeks for other reasons, be it the kids unwell or work (yes after 5 years of not working due to health I am now back amongst the working class) and studying - it certainly isn't any easier being a mature student and doing it from home with the mad lot round about - well that speaks for itself. Anyway first exam out the way and just one more in September before I decide whether to continue onto the next stage.

Books are out, pad is at the ready, hubby is banned from the kitchen (not even telling him I'm on the PEP again - he eats anything anyway so it won't be a problem and most of his favourite meals are from PEP but he doesn't even know). Before when I was down to half a pound to go and "lost the plot" I'd done most of it on my own and laterally with a personal coach. So am thinking getting into the swing of things again I'll start on my own again and take it from here.

I don't have any time frame in mind, just to get back into my size 12 clothes that are still in the wardrobe - I refuse to get rid as I know that I will get back into them smile.gif

It's the start of a new journey for me this week this is it so onwards and downwards.

Breakfast - Weetabix and milk : 8
Lunch - Prawn salad : 11
Dinner - Spaghetti Bolognese: 15

Fruit: 2 tangerines and 2 kiwi

Supper: 1 slice Toast and Tomato: 4

Total: 38

Thanks everyone, well day one went well - much better than I have been of late and still feel positive.

Never got much work done thanks to referreeing the kids yesterday (oh only 20 days to go but hey ho worked last night so caught up on a lot.

Ok menu for today:

Breakfast - Weetabix and milk - 8
Lunch - Toast and Beans - 14
Dinner - Chilli prawns and rice with stir fry veg - 16

Fruit - x2 tangerines
x2 kiwi

Hi well today has been a bit of a nightmare - think I'll campaign for shorter school holidays!!!! Kids have been winding each other up the whole day to the point in Asda I felt like lying on the ground kicking and screaming - just to hear my own voice for once!!! haha. Anyhow must have been the cool voice saying through gritted teath "bed when you get home" that made them realise I'd had enough!!! Weans - wahhhhhh.

Got the soup packs in going to get that made tonight. Still very motivated for getting this job done - think weans are going to sis-in-law tonight - well at least one of them is smile.gif so that should make tonight and tomorrow a bit easier. Getting hair done tomorrow and off out with the girls on Saturday (why do nights out always pop up when I've just started pepping again?) Och well will just have to go with the flow. Already feeling better now that i'm eating better so that's a big plus for me.

Simmy - even thinking about pepping was good going for me - if I kept going the way I was I'd be massive by this time next year!!! Good luck getting back into the swing of it and mind post your menus too for some inspiration for me smile.gif

Ok today's menu:

Breakfast toast and jam - 10 checks
Lunch - Cold meat salad sandwich - 11 checks
Dinner - Chicken pasta with tomato based sauce - 16 checks

What a day today has been busy busy busy. But got my hair done in amongst it all so it's not all work and no play hahaha.

Ok menu for today was:

Breakfast - weetabix and milk - 8
Lunch - Toast and Flora - 8
Dinner - Turkey, stir fry peppercorn sauce and rice - 16

32 checks - gosh I've been so busy not had much time to think about food or anything else today infact it's gone midnight and just had to log in here for 5 mins!!!

Bed time now me thinks! I'll try and get on a bit earlier in the morning but thinking another hectic day in store work and play of course (going on a picnic with kids and nieces/nephews tomorrow) smile.gif

Well last week wasn't so bad after all, tho I never got on here to post my menus but have done not too bad sticking with the PEP.

Despite night out (well day into night 1983.gif ) lunch, countless cocktails and glasses of vino I have managed to lose a whole 1lb this week.

Delighted with that as I say it was a bit of a blow out on Saturday! Anyway just think what would have happened had I not been following PEP for the week!!!!

Have been extra busy the last 4 or 5 days with work and the weans, went out for a picnic with them on Friday and we just managed to get our food eaten when the horrible rain came on. So we ended up in play area. A cheap day out at the park ended up costing a fair bit!! Never mind, kept them busy smile.gif

Ok menu for today:

Breakfast - rice krispies and banana (EDB) with milk 8 checks
Lunch - Tuna salad roll - 16 checks
Dinner - Lasagne - 16 checks and lots of free veg

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining this thread,I've just started pepping again today - so far so good - like you I've had a hectic day (getting kids school kit) took 4 of them to Livingston - what a blooming nightmare ha! ha!, but got the job done in the end (not too much to buy they've not grown that much over the last year - just going to save the planet and my pocket by letting hems down etc. this year ha!) Got home at 6pm - only had 10 checks so far y_innocent.gif - I'm sure I wouldn't have been so good had I just been kicking around the house - so at least the pain was worth it! Going to eat more fruit for snacks rather than crisps and sweets, did it before and really felt better for it.

Well it's been hectic the past couple of weeks - as you can imagine! Not had much time to be on here but I'll still keep this going smile.gif

Lost a pound on Monday weigh in slowly but steadily coming off. This past week has been better PEP wise - made a lot more healthy choices and hoping the scales will be kind come this Monday weigh in smile.gif

Well I'm exhausted today -totally and utterly sad.gif

Last night didn't sleep too well - today has been a big day for us here - oldest son into 4th year at High School, daughter 1st day at High School and youngest son 1st day at school, not to mention my exam results due today.

So far all has gone to plan - results came through via e-mail this morning - passed the first exam just got another to do in September and that's stage one of accountancy out the way smile.gif

Two eldest kids left happy for school - just waiting on them getting home with their news smile.gif

Youngest enjoyed school and is going back tomorrow - so far so good with the day.

Oh and my other big news - lost another 2lb this week so that's 4 so far. Well chuffed think the challenge threads are keeping me going at the moment, afraid to say there won't be much exercise done today - too tired after 2 hours sleep but should be back to normal tomorrow.
