My daughter has made a lovely chicken noodle soup for lunch (Italian straciatelli actually) and I am just wondering how many checks are in the pasta.
it is tiny little vermicelli pasta, and between the two of us she put in 5oz of the pasta - does anyone know how many checks are in 5oz of pasta shapes?
Thanks

LOL.
She uses pasta, a chopped onion, two chicken stock cubes, water, and then, when ready to serve, stir in a beaten egg. You normally get enough for four bowls from that (using 5oz of pasta).
Wouldn't that be great if it was a free soup lol?

30g of pasta = 4 checks
I think that 1oz = approx 25g .....
5oz = 141.747g according to conversion
Approx 20 checks for 5oz

Yeah thats right - 1oz/30g pasta or rice = 4 cxs
You will also need to count 3 or 4 cxs for the egg - depending if it was a medium or large egg.

haha that's funny
It's an old italian soup called "ministrina" don't know how to spell it

It's delicious my kids always ask for it when they are ill "comfort soup" but you need parmasan in it yum yum Oh forgot to say a egg whisked up and added at the end of cooking makes it thicker with stringly bits in it . Ok hungry now!!

Whoops, more than I thought, that's what I get for guessing lol.
Never mind, I went for a big walk today, that surely helped work some of it off!
Thanks for all your comments, I went away camping just after reading the first few replies, so only just got back.
