Ok guys so a year ago I had to order new work trousers cos the ones I had didn't fit anymore!!

I had to go up 2 sizes!! And I put the old ones in a bag in the basement! (the ones that didn't fit anymore)

Since joining ss in may the new trousers have been gettig bigger and bigger and this morning I realised when I sit down they almost fall off! That's wearing a belt too!!

So I took a trip to the basement and there was my old trousers in the bag wher I had left them!! And they fit perfect!! So I'm sitting here in trousers I haven't been able to wear for at least a year!! Probably more!

So chuffed!! It's funny cos I know how
much weight I've lost but it's really hard to see the difference it's made to my shape! Just shows you tho!

The belt I had on is useless on these trousers it just hangs off!! And when I started ss I started at halfway down that belt!! So I've def lost at least 4 inches!!

Hope you all have a similar story now or sometime soon!!

Can't wait to see these trousers get baggy too!!

Thats great and it really is great when you see these changes its a on top of the world feeling so enjoy hug.gif
It's one of those things that really keeps you on track as you know you just dont want to go back the way you used to be.
All that hard work and thinking of giving in,highs, lows are really worth it in the end 2thumbs.gif

2thumbs.gif Well done Suze, I think that just shows that sometimes it is best to take your measurements as sometimes you can lose more inches than weight!!!
Skippy
oooh yayaya you xxxxxxxx

i ordered a lovely suit from next for my work in september last year ( DIDNT FIT ) but was determined it would, had a big meeting in march and had lost a wee bit of weight and became contortonist trying to fit it, thought i was giving birth again! shucks.gif but i had it on

have since bought another 2 suits ( smaller trousers )that i have preferred wearing so when i wore it last week - my ASS has gone, where it was tight it is hanging!!!!!!

yayayayayayay in a way as i know i am doing something right, ordered a smaller pair of plain black trousers from next arrived last night and i didnt try on but tried on this morning and perfect fit!!!!!!!! even the short sleeved shirt i wanted to wear with it( i have big upper arms ) isnt cutting off my circulation!!!

so i now have on trousers in a smaller size, circulation friendly shirt and my waistcoat xxxxxxx

crazy - i wish i had taken measurements at start of year when i started exercising as i have toned up more than i lost weight if you know what i mean!!!

but its the best feeling in the world!!!!!!!! and we are bonding over trousers - love it! xxxxxxx

What a great feeling it is to try on something that you can really see the fruits of your hard work!

It's so inspiring to read that through your hard work, determination and by following the eating plan you have achieved fantastic weight loss success!!!! 2thumbs.gif

Make sure the old clothes go to the charity shop!

Sue that is fab! You must be so chuffed! I have been doing the same, going through all my old stuff that hasnt fitted in about 4 years, and I just cant beleive that I can fit into about 3/4s of it now!

Skippy, I DID take my measurements at the start of the year, and I cried when I did. At 5ft and half an inch (that half inch is very important!) i had 48" chest, 35" waist and 50" hips - it was at this point I burst into tears, I was horrified.

But I have now lost 10" from my hips, 12" from Bust and 7" from waist, and when you look at it in those terms, the number on the scales doesnt matter does it?!

2thumbs.gif Well done Sue & Skippy you have both done brilliantly , as rosie says the numbers on the scales aren't the only ones that count 2thumbs.gif

Rosie - Your the same height as me and the half inch is a must lol , I always tell people im 5ft and half an inch - the kill themselves laughing y_shock.gif Well done on what you have achieved you are doing great , keep up the good work 2thumbs.gif

Haha my work trousers are hideous blue combat trousers which only come made for men so they don't actually fit the best anyway so the old ones are just going back down into the work basemet where someone else can wear them!!

Hopefully if I get a good new job after my job search I'll be able to buy some lovely suits and stuff in a smaller size smile.gif yey!!

Rosie you've lost so many inches!!

I measured at the start too but haven't lost as many inches as u!!

Think it's about 3/4 inches from most parts which is still great!! Still another 2 or 2 and a half stone to lose tho!!

Xx

My wardrobe looks like Alexandra shop
started my job in 2001 and near every year it was next size up,next size up
So i was like you, back into wardrobe where the new old ones were waiting for me,so wear them, but was not long before they too were baggy
Now i have had to beg for 2 pairs in last couple of months and we only get so much, but hey tuff cant work in my pants unsure.gif (well i could, but not a pretty sight)

I hate wearing belts as they are soooooooo uncomfy when driving, maybe i should wear braces lol
