Now on with the show, well whose done well this week? The short answer is ALL of you, but there are a few of you who stand out from the crowd and they are... Firstly, simmyhx whose lost an incredible 4lbs. Next kateyboo who has lost a few pounds making that over a STONE and a HALF she has lost since being with SS and rebelsue2 losing a couple of pounds making that exactly a stone and a half she has lost too. WELL DONE LADIES!!!
Altogether, you all lost over a stone between you and 2 sts, with no gains!!! FANTASTIC!
Now the wee "talk" for today will be on comfort food, not comfort eating. Comfort food is alright, where as comfort eating is probably what got us all overweight in the first place!
As the nights start to draw in, we may think of comfort food like mince and tatties, stovies e.t.c. and although there is nothing wrong with them if given with lots of veggies, there are plenty of other wholesome filling recipies to try from the SS books if you are feeling a bit adventurous and fed up of all your usual meals. The SS Seasons Book is good, as is the Pep Complete Book for hearty meals.
My favourite comfort food of all time is the Sausage Casserole from the Pep Complete Book (pg 55) and with only 15 checks you really feel full afterwards. (I do omit the celery though as I don't like it and I add garlic and a couple of tablespoons of tomato ketchup and Splenda as I like my food sweet).
