Well just home from third weigh in and after one bad day *(fri) I stayed the same y_cry.gif I am feeling really upset about it and am sitting here in tears. I supposed I am just hacked off at the fact that I excercise quite alot throughout the week spin class and two or three zumba classes and stilll dont lose weight, I have also been writing everything down and sticking to it. Now I worry as am off to london for the weekend as its hubby and I first wedding anniversary on sun.

Sorry for rambling on, will get straight back on it a pray for a loss next week. Just got hubby to measure me and I have lost from my bust and hips so atleast I know it is coming off in inches if not in weight rolleyes.gif

Hey Lesley,

Please please try not to be upset, I know you are dissapointed because you worked so hard, but it could be a bit of water retention, or a bit of stress even. try to think of it this way - you haven't put on so you don't have to work hard to lose the same weight you have already lost smile.gif Im sure you will lose next week so please dont feel disheartened 1983.gif

xx

Hey, Hey, Hey......thats quite enough of that Mrs!!!!

So lets get things in perspective..you are exercising well and your eating a healthy balanced diet, you are changing your lifestyle with the aim of losing a bit of weight- your body and the world cant ask much more of you hun.

It really REALLY sucks I know, but unfortunately we are not programmed on a 7 day cycle and often our "stupid, selfish chunky bums" dont know what day we get weighed in or attend our class and they dont always oblige by showing us the numbers we feel we deserve.

But you know what?????? you did the hard work and the results cant fail to come - eventually blink.gif

Yes the numbers are a great measure but they are NOT the be all and end all, hang in there, stay positive and focus more on the great things you have done over 6 days rather than the 1 day you slipped.

Please please, enjoy your anniversary and look forward to a happy and healthy future - whats one weeks weigh in, in amongst the next 100 years??

Just think lesley it's coming off in inches so people will notice earlier, clothes will fit better and all the exercise will tone you up 2thumbs.gif all positive!! Keep going it will show on the scales 1983.gif

Feeling exactly the same Lesley hug.gif hug.gif

I have stuck to my check allowance religiously and exercised for the last 2 weeks and only lost 0.5lb first week then a pound tonight and I am feeling hard done by aswell y_cry.gif

We are just going to have to stick together and get through another week and it will eventually catch up with us biggrin.gif and we need to remember that everyone on here has gone through this and managed to keep going to target so we can do it aswell 2thumbs.gif

Yes well said Miss Broxi. I need to remember this all when I get STS s.

Nurseshortie, congratulations on your anniversary. Enjoy your weekend, with no guilt. And back on plan after your weekend and I bet those scales shift next WI.

A pound of fat and a pound of muscle may weigh the same but they take up less space. When you're exercising it takes time for the scales to catch up.

Take care,

How you doing Lesley ? hug.gif hug.gif
Supergran
Miss Broxi, fantastic result but how on earth did you keep your motivation going excl.gif It's hard when you put in the effort with no result,
Miss Broxi
Thanks SuperGran.....basically I never set a target weight until very very near the end. I never set my self "mini" targets like lose 7lb by xmas or get into a size 18 by my birthday. I just saw all of those as an opportunity to fail. The way I felt about it was ...."if I ate well and exercised" I couldn't do anymore and I had to accept whatever the scales threw at me. Sometimes it was better than I deserved y_whistle.gif and sometimes it was worse surrender.gif

But for me (having so much to lose) I had to be in it for the long haul and everyday was an achievement. Losing weight is not about getting to target, hitting a number and "job done", if thats how we view it and thats how we carry on .......we will be back to square one in no time. So persecuting ourselves at every blip seems foolish.

I suppose if you gain or sts and know you deserved it, then accept it learn from it and move on.....if you didn't, take it on the chin, focus on the positives and take pride in what you have achieved - look forward to the week ahead.

Hope that gives you an insite into my sometimes warped psyche lol xx
