Healthy eating and exercise go hand in hand, but there’s one secret to reaching, and staying at, your target … it’s getting started.

You’ve made the right choice joining Scottish Slimmers, now is the time to back it up with more movement and exercise that will transform your body as the weight drops off:

START NOW… Lots of slimmers say they will start when they lose some weight. Do what you can to ge started and you will be amazed how quickly you will begin to improve.

TURN OFF THE TELLY…  it’s too easy to turn on the telly and reach for the crisps, biscuits, ice cream. Think about it this way, if you are moving, you’re NOT eating!

RELAX, THIS IS FOR YOU!… we all start somewhere so don’t worry about other people – you are exercising for YOU and you are the only person that counts.

WEAR A SMILE… with comfortable clothes to start and, as your confidence builds, treat yourself to smart activewear to celebrate your success.

EXPECT TO HAVE MORE ENERGY…  Whatever age you are, there is something to suit you. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Exercise is a confidence booster and increases your energy so go for it!

PS Gyms don’t have to be off-putting places.  Most will provide a short programme to get started and they usually have fun, friendly classes too.  Before you know it, an hour has passed – and there’s a smile on your face!
