I got my pre baby body back by using the Scottish Slimmers App!
Rue Smith from Glasgow understands how difficult losing weight and balancing life can be - especially when you've got a new baby.
Luckily Rue found something that works for her, the Scottish Slimmers App and managed to work weight loss around her life!
‘I first joined Scottish Slimmers in November 2014, and lost 1 ½ stone over 3 months, so I knew the plan worked well for me,’ says Rue, 33 from Glasgow.
‘For one reason or another I drifted back to old habits and put some of it back on. I re-joined in October 2015 only to discover I was pregnant and I decided I would come back again when my son was born,’
With a brand new baby Rue found that she wasn’t able to get up and go to class as she would have previously, but luckily she found a solution, ‘After my 6 eek check-up was fine I joined online and got the app again. Weighing 12 stone 12lbs I wasn’t sure how I would do, and having a new baby but I was determined!’
It was no problem for Rue, balancing life, losing weight and a new baby, ’13 weeks after downloading the app and joining online I got to my Target of 10 stone 10lbs! I am so proud of myself for getting here because the easy option was to ignore it an use my son as an excuse to avoid getting back in shape, but instead I used him as my inspiration to get fit and healthy,’
Rue says she has never looked or felt this good, and after having a baby that’s quite an achievement. ‘I have found it so easy to follow and never feel deprived of anything. If I want cake, I have cake and that’s what I love so much about Scottish Slimmers!’
Rue understands that it’s all about moderation and balance, ‘Scottish Slimmers makes it easy to do this or save up a few Checks if I have weekend plans,’
One of the greatest things about losing weight for Rue is being able to wear what she wants, ‘I’ve set myself little goals along the way with outfits to fit into, which has helped me focus,’
Now Rue is looking to the next stage in her weight loss journey and is aiming to reach 10 stone 3lbs which she has no doubt about achieving, ‘It’s so easy to follow, and it’s fool proof if you stick to it!’
‘I now work our 5/6 days a week after finding a plan that works for me which I fit in before my son wakes up or when he naps, I also walk and swim with him a few times a week,’
‘I want my son to be proud of me when he’s older and I want him to follow a healthy lifestyle with lots of exercise, so I hope we can enjoy it together and it is just normal for him as he grows up,’
Rue hopes she can inspire fellow new mums and show that with a few small, simple changes you can get your pre baby body back and more!
