Chocolate Brownie

Method

  • 1. Put the Prunes in a bowl and cover with boiling water leave to soak for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • 2. Transfer to a pan with 50ml of soaking liquid heat and gently simmer for 10 minutes until about 2 tbsp of liquid remains. Puree and leave to cool.
  • 3. Heat oven to 180C fan or gas mark

  • 5. Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water but not boiling water.
  • 6. In another bowl beat together the Prunes egg and sugar.
  • 7. Sift in the cocoa and flour with a pinch of salt and fold in gently.
  • 8. Pour the melted chocolate over and stir in gently.
  • 9. Tip mixture into the tin and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 10. Allow to cool and cut into slices.
