- 1. Rub the butter and flour together in a large bowl.
- 2. Fold in the sugar spices dried fruit and egg and mix well.
- 3. Dust a board with a little flour and roll the dough to ½ cm thick.
- 4. Use cutter to cut between 10 and 12 circular cakes.
- 5. Heat a large frying pan and cook the cakes over a medium heat for about 2 minutes until golden. Turn them over and cook for a further 2 minutes.
