Oatcakes
Perfect to serve along side our mince & oaty dumplings dish
- 60 g wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 225 g porridge oats
- 60 g low-fat spread (melted)
- 5 tbsp lukewarm water
Preheat oven to 190ºC, gas mark 5.
Sift the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda.
- Mix in the sugar and oats and bind with the melted margarine and water.
Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 3mm and cut it out into 5 cm/2 inch rounds.
Place them on a greased baking tray and bake for 20 minutes.
